There has been a tear in the rift of cryptozoology that has been an on again....off again ongoing cluster #$%^. I don't really have to tell you about those involved....because you probably already know all of them. BUT, in case you are new to the community, I will post this rebuttal and I promise you, this will be the last I have to say on this matter and the clown that has brought the weight of the world down on his head all by his little lonesome.

   I am of course talking about Bigfoottim or Tim Fasano. Recently he stooped to the lowest of lows and rekindled hatred for fellow researchers. All this after crying the blues how everyone is stalking him, no one likes him, people make him out to be a hoaxer....etc. The main thing is that all the complaints, the call outs, the exposure of his ways, was ALL DOCUMENTED AND WITNESSED IN PERSON. He was caught red handed restarting a web site called Bigfoot Research Buster that had been shut down earlier this year, to do the same thing that he and another Ohio researcher claimed was defaming them. The only thing is....he didn't realize that there are those of us with far more resources to utilize to smoke out trash than he knew possible. I checked into the site when the former owner contacted me about it. It took me about 2 days to figure out where it was coming from. In fact...I contacted a couple of the members that Fasano had posted about and that was all it took to go public with what was deemed...The FACTS.

     One thing that Fasano needs to remember is that he was approached by a lot of good people in this business back when he but a few videos on his you tube site. There are many researchers here in Florida that will ot and do not alienate others in this field. His attitude was in a nutshell to tell them all to go to hell. Now he has griped, preached, and cried about what others were doing to him. Let's dissect his last post on the Bigfoot Buster site with clarification on each of his claims.

He starts with a recap of a Rod Sterling quote: “The tools of conquest do not necessarily come with bombs, explosions, and fallout. There are weapons that are simply thoughts, attitudes, and prejudices to be found only in the minds of men. For the record, prejudices can kill; suspicion can destroy. Moreover, a frightened, thoughtless search for a scapegoat can have a fallout all its own.”

     Then he goes into how it's a universal metaphoric statement about the deviousness of the Bigfoot community. When in fact Tim....it's YOUR deviousness and YOUR mind which fits the statement more exactly.

     NO ONE made fun of the work you done in the field until you were OBSERVED and caught spreading the tales that got you your reputation. And it became a reputation and a tag that stuck to you like glue to the point that the only people that would have anything to do with you was Carmine Tom Biscardi and a few people from up north and a couple naive housewives from Canada. I have talked to countless others that only watch your videos for their comic relief value and to see you blow up like you do so often.

     This line of thinking goes all the way back before your failed run for congress in 2008. You were posting hatred rants. Whatever happened to the fasanoforcongress web site? How about your racist remarks about MLK day. Seems you threw some Rod Sterling in that one too. I remember one of your postings on one of your many web sites claiming how Christmas of 2007 was the first time you had ever been camping. Now we here about your "YEARS" of doing research on Florida Skunk Apes is really hard to do when you are more or less a weekend warrior and there are only 52 weekends in a year. There some of us that have spent weeks and even months in the woods. We know what we are talking about.

     The comments you were receiving on your videos that you had to "block" was indeed coming from researchers that have spent a whole LOT MORE time in the field than you. The recording you made were nothing but common animals that we have heard and disclosed in the past. You blocked them because you didn't WANT to hear the truth. This is your answer to everything. If you got called out on one of your videos because soeone knew better....you blocked the person and took the video down because you didn't want to hear that as well.

     You claim that people were talking about the way you look. Then....you go and post something like this?

You...out of spite....even registered the name cryptoflorida, just get get even with me....how's that workin out for ya. I had absolutely NO PLANS to register name in .com so I guess you spent your hard earned dollar at Go Daddy for no reason at all.

     When you were teetering on the edge, a good group of people decided to give you a shot and try to curb your enthusiasm somewhat. My hat is off to them. This is what you had to say ;

    Once again...I remember hearing from this person that you were the one dragging your feet because you are so out of shape and were huffing and puffing and wheezing the entire way. I gathered you were using this as an excuse to get everyone to slow down to your pace. REMEMBER...these people have been at this a lot longer to you....you even admitted it. Remember the armadillo?

     Then there is the whole Tom Biscardi thing. I think this had been covered enough that his reputation precedes him wherever he goes.

      Now let's cover the so called trolls. Trust me Tim...they are everywhere. I deal with them on a daily basis. I think you have so many because of all the people you block needing to express the truth so they have to go anonymously, or use other accounts to do so. I have seen this happen. Then there are the others that through your extensive online detective work you claim to be who they are not. You even thought the original Bigfoot Buster was who they were not. You just knew that I was Scott Hamilton for over a year. You claim My close friend Benjamin Daniel Overton who goes by the screen name Bendover was me....wrong again. It's true we had the same IP address. He was in Florida working the oil spill in the Gulf and was visiting me at the time he made the post. I cherish the day he returns from Iraq and sets you straight. His job keeps him from going onto social web sites due to security reasons. Last time we talked he going to try and be home for Christmas. til then.

     Now as far as the terrorist goes....laughable at best. He is no terrorist. He is a hard working individual that like Steve Kulls has separated himself from the Biscardi clan. What ever ties they may hold is their business, but I think the air is clear when you try and drag someones name through the mud in the fashion you did....expect the outcome you receive for your actions. I have seen both of the afore mentioned people on the tv set countless times and think you are just a bit jealous of this fact. Then there are some of us that DO NOT want the spot light shining so bright on us. To each their own.

     I actually caught on to who was behind the "NEW" Bigfoot Buster site after the second post came up. I am glad I made the mention to the terrorist. It set off the chain of events you are trying to cry your way out of with crocodile tears. No one feels sorry for you with the exception of the housewives in Canada. I personally have watched you filming in the woods. You do get away from your cab from time to time. But posting a few dozen 2 minutes videos with misleading titles to get people to watch them is one of the downfalls of your nature. A half hour of filming is good for a dozen of those videos like the repeated nude pictures you post from the Arizona shoot you attended a few years ago. You have started 99% of the fires in which you burn in. This will be the last time I will EVER mention your name in a post. Even if you muster up a reply, you are not worth my time and effort. I believe that most people in this community feel the same way and would love it if you just fade away. But you won't....it's not in your nature. So curl up in your hotel room, unless the landlord hasn't tossed you yet because you haven't paid the rent.

Well after a year it would seem that with the help of others....our beloved Fatsano has finally figured out that my name is NOT Scott Hamilton.

He has posted more slanderous spout about me...someone who in the beginning I offered to help him in his research but was met with homosexual advances. Click here to see what Mr Fasano had to offer: FASANO1 This was when he used the name BigfootTim on Blogspot. When I explained that I was happily married....this enraged him. Married......Happily......I guess that's why I am such a total flop with women.

Now we have posted some of his skeletons and he has denied their validity. Arrested for domestic abuse in 2003 he claims that the charges were dropped a few days later after his alcoholic, forged bill uttering girlfriend claimed he had nothing to do with it.....WRONG.......ANOTHER LIE.....check this out: FASANO2 . The case carried on for over a year with a diversion program brought in and community service was performed. Then you might want to check this out liar.....FASANO3 This took place when domestic abuse was a misdemeanor in Florida....now it's a felony. The facts are evident in the public record.

He claims I have been cyber stalking him for 2 years....another lie. I have made comments to his outlandish outbursts and video postings. But just as always....when he is confronted with the truth.....he lashes out at those that make the comments or erases them from his site all together. 99% of his videos show nothing more than his face, or his heavy wheezing breathing. I have had conversations with many that watch his videos and most claim they only watch them for their comical relief value.

He even attacked other members of my web sites. He made EXTREME hatred remarks about Carolann Solomon, who is about as sweet and level headed as they come when it comes to researchers I have met and been on outings with. When his video came out and he was seeing Skunk Apes behind every tree and hearing another with every noise from the bush., he was corrected by Carolann and her other half. The video seemed to disappear. The comments and the truth posted on his site disappeared. Charles Pearson made remarks of how he slammed, condemned, trash talked, knocked, put down Tom Biscardi....only to now worship him as if he is a god! He had no comment on this....once again....the comment disappeared. You remember who he is don't you? He was one of the master minds behind almost every Bigfoot scam or swindle in the USA including the pay-per-view of a captured Bigfoot and the famous Georgia Bigfoot in a freezer. He claimed he "had no knowledge" that it wasn't real even after he had touched it and had his photogralh taken standing in front of the freezer with the other two clowns involved.

Now he has started a hate campaigns against John L. Johnsen, M.K. Davis, Myself....which he has from day one, and a few others. He thinks because he posts hundred of nothing videos on YouTube he is credible. Well Tim....you are NOT. You claim you have filmed a sleeping Skunk Ape....but you never even got close enough to prove this. Why? Real researchers would have at least tossed a rock or a stick into the palmettos to see if a reaction would happen. Once again....can you say, BLOBSQUATCH?

This is what Tampa Tim Fasano, the mental midget hoaxing, spoofing researcher wanna be that has become the laughing stock of all of Florida, with the exception of one person and maybe himself, has done to himself.

When will he ever learn that pictures and videos of old boats, wild hogs and his own self made castings of his own footprints does not a researcher make. On one of his outings, he even posted his "supplies" for a research outing into the Green Swamp which consisted of a bag of store bought firewood and a case of beer. The essentials!!

He has been busted by other legitimate researchers making false claims and spoofing some of his way too many You Tube video that seem to only capture his pudgy face and constant out of shape wheezing and hacking.

From time to time we will refresh the memories and introduce new comers to certain elements. China's Bigfoot Still Remains A Mystery

In 1967 a local man from China's ShaanxiProvince was lifting stones in the hills surrounding his village when he uncovered footprints, 16 inches (40 centimeter) in length. One after the other of the prints appeared walking down the rocks into the valley, the imprints buried into the stone. There was no doubt, to Qaio and his neighbors that these footprints belonged to a man, and with those measurements, a man who would reach almost 10 feet (3 meters) tall.

Today the mystery has sparked an intensive debate over who or what made the imprints and more importantly how much energy and resources should be invested to uncover the mystery? Legions of a Chinese Bigfoot have been around for centuries. Today the creature are still believed to roam the forests, named by the locals as the Yeren, or Wild Humans. In the Hubei Province massive footprints have been uncovered, yet in size they are around three quarters of the size of the ones in the Shaanxi Province.

In 2009 scientists were considering mounting a major search of the Hubei Province with the view to uncovering either the creature themselves or more evidence of their existence. The ground for their work was based on a 1980's expedition after 18 tourists reported witnessing to half animal, half human creatures believed to be the Yeren. In 2003 another sighting took place but these witness accounts are rare events. That's lead to another scientific theory that these footprints are ancient. Some believe that in fact the prints were made by some creature that dates back to the dinosaurs.

Now the question remains should research money be poured into tracking down creatures that may not have been alive for millions of years?

It's no secret that ghost stories are often retold by virtue of them gripping the listener with a visceral and unexplained fear. But the more ghost stories you hear, the more they seem to blend together. And so after researching thousands of ghost stories, a few that have left a lasting impression do stand out. Here are the abbreviated forms of a few of those stories.

The Phantom Phone Number - One of the classic ghost stories is one about a deceased relative who has passed on and begins telephoning family members to leave a message. Unfortunately when this story was first told it was unconfirmed. There were accounts of it happening, but usually from a friend of a friend. Of course no one would ever be able to confirm the incredible claim because no record keeping system really existed. It wasn't until the 12th of September in 2008 when the cell phone belonging to a man who had died from a train wreck suddenly started making calls spontaneously and registering on those family members' phones. When they picked up the phone, however, all they would receive would be an unearthly static. The body of Charles Peck, who had died in that fateful crash was discovered long before the 35 phone calls were made to loved ones. The cell phone itself was never found.

The strangest thing about this case no doubt is the fact that no matter where you look, the story is absolutely confirmed as true. Even checking in at the notoriously unforgiving (and reliable) Snopes website yielded a "True" by their standards. But what could have caused this bizarre manifestation? It's completely unexplainable.

The Number of Death - Another classic comes this time from Russia which suggests that if you receive a phone call from a specific number and then call it back, you will die under mysterious circumstances within a short period of time. This was the premise for the film "Missed Call" and has become popular in Japan as well. Fortunately for those of us that just have to know the facts, this has been officially debunked. In fact the number, 999-9999-9999 is not even that uncommon Serving as the inspiration of a piece I would do on the subject after receiving the strange number I dialed it back personally and was not dragged into the shadows by a demonic looking witch.

Of course there are others who would say it's only a matter of the true origins of the phone call. Some of them are bound to be harmless, right?

The Phone Calls are Coming From Inside the House - Of course there's the classic urban legend, from which this article gets its namesake. The legend of someone leaving sinister messages only to have the hapless residents finally learn that the phone calls are coming from inside the house. But that could never happen in real life, right? Surely this urban legend is one that is to fantastic to believe.

The chances of this Urban Legend happening the same way are at the moment fairly slim. In reality, an operator could not determine the exact location of a series of phone calls so quickly. In fact, by the time you learned where the phone calls were really coming from it may already be too late. This is one horror story that was around to scare us when we were children, but it has gotten even more disturbing with age.

Maybe it's not chupacabras, after all.

The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission has issued a bulletin about panthers killing goats and pigs on the edges of the Everglades.

There's no word that they are invading Weston at this point, unlike the 2009 sightings of a black bear in the area.

There's no mention of the chupacabra, the legendary goat-sucking beast that was once alleged to be active in the Homestead area, south of Miami.

Officially, the FWC says panthers have committed six "depredations," which is official speak for a predatory attack in the Golden Gate Estates area. That area is near the western end of Alligator Alley (Interstate 75).

"In the past week alone, panthers have killed several goats and a pig," the FWC said.

Other depredation reports have come from the Immokalee area, west of Lake Okeechobee.

Raising goats and pigs is somewhat of a cottage industry in South Florida, where goats in particular are popular for holiday feasts in Latin cultures.

Mark Lotz, a biologist on the FWC’s panther team, said: "Livestock, such as chickens, goats and hogs, should be secured in enclosed structures at night. Electric fencing also can be an effective predator deterrent. Cats and small dogs should be kept indoors, particularly at night."

The Defenders of the Wildlife website says male panthers can average 130 pounds, while females are closer to 70 pounds. They primarily eat white-tailed deer, but are opportunistic hunters.

Only about 100 panthers are estimated to exist, so spotting one is rare.

If you do encounter one, though, the FWC has some tips:

Me and my lovely wife, Diane and Rocco the Skunk Ape Hunter, went out this last weekend and investigated a tip we recieved from James L. of Florida. Here is a part of the contact he left for me here on CryptoFlorida:

I don't want to sound like I am crazy, but if I need to tell someone about something I saw last week, anonymously of course. I work as an escort for heavy and wide loads here in Florida. I travel all over the state and keep some really odd hours. I was in the Ridge Manor area delivering a modular home to a rural piece of property East of Highway 75 and North of Ridge Manor. We had a problem getting the semi into the property because the gate was locked and we had to wait until after dark when the property owner finally showed up to let us in. To make a long story short, we got the home located on a level spot and decided to call it a night.

We left the semi hooked up and the owner gave us a key to return the next day, Saturday, and finish up in the day light. I drove Dave back the next morning and he set the home in place and unhooked. I did my usual walk around and left about 20 minutes behind him. I had drove about 15 miles and reach to get a soda out of my cooler and noticed....no cooler. Then it dawned on me that I had taken it out of the truck and set it on the hitch of the home where we ate lunch. I turned around and drove back. When I got to the property, I saw something I have never seen before in my 59 years of life.

It was about 5:30 in the afternoon and was starting to get dark. I drove down the long lane and as I came to the area where we set the home up, I saw movement out of the corner of my eye moving toward the treeline. It appeared to be a man in fur coat. Only thing is, he was at least eight feet tall and filled the coat out like a linebacker does a uniform. He stopped and turned toward me as I got out of my truck, then I noticed, he had my cooler in his arms. He wasn't carrying it like you or I would with the handle. He was holding it like we would a baby. He was to far away to make out details of his face, but he appeared to have a heavy beard and mustache. I yelled at him and asked him where he thought he was going with my cooler but he seemed to lift his head a little higher in the air and let out a scream that gave me chicken skin. Then he turned and in about 3 steps covered the 20 or so yards left to make it back into the woods. Each time he took a step I could feel it in the ground. Then it dawned on me that this was no man. I got in my truck and left as fast as I could. I know what I saw had to have been a Skunk Ape or Bigfoot. I never took much stock in them until that day.

When I got into the office on Monday I turned the keys to the property over to my manager and told him I wasn't going to make the second trip with the other half of the home. He asked me why but I would gave him a line about having a Dr.'s appointment. That thing scared the hell out of me and I wasn't going back. If you want more info I am leaving you my number. I will tell you all I can but don't expect me to go back there cause I won't. Thanks for having a place for people like me that have encounters like mine. The best time to call is after 8pm in the evenings.

We called James and discussed his sighting for over an hour. then we arranged to meet him.

This is a stacking we found in the middle of the property.

This is a possible bedding area found next to the stacking.

The area is far from any human contamination....no hunters etc. Private property.

We were not able to locate any foot prints in the area due to the forest floor was covered with pine ferns so there were no prints what so ever around the stacking or the bedding areas.

We spent the next two nights camped out near the area and heard a few whoops and whistles. there was possbly some tree knocks, but it also could have been contributed to the 28 degree weather and trees falling in the forest. We will be returning to the area in another month to see if anything more gets added to this stacking. We will keep you updated when the time comes.

Pelicans Drop Near Unidentified Submerged Object

In the world of UFO sightings there are some distinct features that make the phenomenon all the more bizarre when seen. This latest sighting by one witness from Chesapeake Virginia of a mass of dead pelicans seems to suggest the same type of perplexing mystery that we saw once before earlier this year in the United Kingdom. But unlike that scenario, this flock of dead birds was far larger and has seen no attention in mainstream media.

As the witness was driving toward New Jersey on the 12th of November, he looked out the window as they approached the Chesapeake Bridge and noticed -of all things- a pelican mysteriously struck down by an unknown sudden force. As they slowed their car down to look closer they saw more pelicans. As they continued crossing the bridge the slew of dead pelicans was quite large, and they appeared equidistant from one another as though they had been flying in some sort of formation before suddenly dropping dead due to an unknown influence.

Thinking the incident was strange, they checked the bodies of each pelican as they passed by it and noticed none of them were mangled in any way. The distance between the bodies was so regular that they were able to look at each one in turn as they passed it and were able to even predict the next one before they would inevitably pass it. The witness describes their arrangement as if they were almost "strategically placed."

Looking out over the water the witnesses then saw a strange glow from within the water as though something were in it. The strange glow was comprised of four lights all arranged in a diamond shape. As the witnesses continued on, they couldn't tell what the strange object was. It was for all intents and purposes a USO or Unidentified Submerged Object. Looking into the sky they noted how there were no clouds and the entire area was lit up by the stars and the moon. Though they didn't see anything strange in the air, they couldn't help but wonder as they passed the bridge what that mysterious object in the water was.

The witness, upon doing their own research, suggested that there had been several sightings of unidentified flying objects in the area that night, and indeed in Massachusetts and New York a search on UFO databases from both the Mutual UFO Network and the National UFO Reporting Center yielded startling results, though the specific diamond shape was not discovered.

Due to the nature of the object beneath the water it’s difficult to determine what exactly was going on that night or what the witness saw. The presence of dead pelicans is fairly reminiscent, however, of the discovery of a flock of Starlings in one woman’s garden just as she was getting home. The birds apparently suddenly died with no known cause. And there have been other mass deaths of birds entirely unaccounted for.

But could this mysterious glowing from the waters have prompted such a death? And how would it do this? Though the answer eludes us for the moment, we will have to wait to see if others come forward with similar sightings from the area.

A Giant Winged Cryptid Over Barcelona Spain? (1990)

The twentieth anniversary of an unusual and highly original case within Spanish cryptozoology took place a few months ago. In June 1990, a giant bird decided to frighten—with its imposing presence and unpleasant crowing—a sizeable number of Barcelona’s residents. What was extraordinary, aside from the apparition in itself, was the way it became known through a series of letters to the editor of a renowned Spanish newspaper. We must bear in mind that this phenomenon goes beyond the purely cryptozoological to go into the field of anthropology or social psychology.

On the morning of June 10, 1990, readers of Barcelona’s “La Vanguardia” had the chance to read a brief missive sent to the paper’s editor by Pere Carbó, a resident of the city. The anonymous citizen said: “I cannot help but to make known my surprise at this unusual event: on the evening 28 May, some residents of the Les Corts district were awakened by the unbearable crowing of a bird. It wasn’t just any bird. Our astonishment was immense when we stepped out to the balcony to see the black silhouette of a bird of tremendous size. It perhaps measured between 3 and 5 meters, and I am not exaggerating.

Numerous residents saw it and numerous comments were made the next day. We assume that others must have seen it other neighborhoods. What was it? And what’s stranger still, why hasn’t it been mentioned in the press?”

This letter became the starter’s pistol that unleashed a veritable flood of letters from readers who claimed having seen the animal in various locations and under various circumstances.

Thus, during the following weeks, the creature was seen (day and night) in various parts of the Catalonian capital and in locations such as Gavá, Sant Joan Despí, Salou, Bellvei del Penedés and the region of Empordá. According to eyewitness accounts, the bird ranged as far away as 100 kilometers distant from Barcelona.

According to witnesses, the animal was dark (mainly black or grey) with a wingspan of between 3 and 15 meters, making loud crowing sounds in three different tones, and whose membranous wings were reminiscent of a prehistoric pterodactyl. In other cases, however, it was classified as a “mutant pigeon” or a black crow, naturally. As we can see, the descriptions were so wide-ranging as to preclude an identikit drawing of the bird.

A few days after the apparition, the Police acknowledged in a story published in El Periodico de Cataluña that it had received hundreds of calls reporting the presence of the gigantic being, while the citizen hotline crashed as a result of the event.

The most unusual hypotheses on the nature of the uncanny bird were put forward. Thus, Xavier Tutusaus (a reader who signed his letter as “botanist”;) suggested that it was a specimen of Avis Cervus, a mythical species described in real in the 16th century (half deer, half bird) which – according to his theory – was passing through the city during its “customary” journey to Madagascar.

Moreover, Santiago Mayosa, officer in charge of the ornithology service of the Barcelona School of Biology, was unable to put forth a scientific explanation to the existence of an animal with these characteristics, theorizing that it could be an albatross, a species from the southern hemisphere whose wingspan can reach three meters, but completely unknown in the Catalonian littoral. The Department of the Environment of the Generalitat, on the other hand, offered a laconic solution: the bird in question was nothing more than a mere vulture.

In spite of this, the bird paraded through the Catalonian skies for three months, although several cases collected by local researcher Jordi Ardanuy lead us to believe that the bird (or birds, as the case may be) was not passing through the city, but rather had or has a local habitat. Let us see some of the cases compiled by Ardanuy: in the summer of 1991 or 1992, eyewitness J.A. Pérez was driving his car in the company of his wife near the El Prat airport when he saw a bird six times larger than his car. The animal, which looked prehistoric, made no noise whatsoever.

In early 1996, in Girona, a family was able to see a bird measuring some 5 or 6 meters. It was dark, silent, motionless wings and thick legs.

On April 14 of that year, Lluis Villamaría and a group of friends envisioned an immense black bird in broad daylight near Montseny. The bird flew by beating its wings barely three meters over the ground.

As we can see, we are faced by a curious phenomenon within domestic case histories. The apparently numerous witnesses made the fact known through editorial pages in a newspaper. This in turn caused the reaction of other readers who decided to share their experience, offer an explanation, give an opinion or, as was the case with some letters, add a humorous tone to the entire matter.

As a result of this initiative (let us call it a grass roots initiative), other dailies such as El Periodico de Cataluña, Avui and the Europa Press agency (as well as mystery magazines) decided to give a certain credibility to the story that became the talk of the streets of Barcelona for a long time, and collect reports to which they had access.

But what were the citizens of Barcelona facing back then? Several hypotheses have been put forth to explain the giant bird. The one that gathers the most supporters considers a voluntary or involuntary hoax that may have started with a malicious letter, followed by others who “thought” they had seen something or heard something. Errors of perception and a desire for celebrity, or to feel part of an extraordinary event, could lead a mystifying event to become real for many citizens.

The fact is that this animal (or whatever) became rara avis (pun intended) within cryptozoology at the international level.

So that all readers of our blog may have access to the full information on the case, the Criptozoología en España team has compiled the documents published by La Vanguardia. These are the letters, surveys, opinion pieces and editorials that the paper devoted to the bird. Neither local militiamen nor veterinarians can explain what kind of a creature is holding in awe dwellers of Anuiskoe Settlement in the Altai Territory.

Judging by descriptions of the eyewitnesses, the mysterious monster attacks their domestic animals at night and sucks their blood out making them die.

In the recent months there have been registered 13 cases of mass murder of rabbits and other small livestock in Anuiskoe Settlement.

Local dwellers are panicking. Some extremely strong and smart beast breaks doors of the rabbit cages, breaks out pieces of wood, and undermines the sheds. The character and traces of attacks are always the same: the rabbits are killed, each of them having only two small pinholes at the back of the neck, and sorted out into heaps. During night attacks on the rabbits the watchdogs yelp of fear and hide in doghouses.

Local Internet users just add up to the fears. In any search engine the most popular answer to the request "mysterious death of rabbits" refers to the vampire animal Chupacabra unknown to scientists.

Well Mr. Fasano, I would like to challenge your spout on your latest YouBoob video. For starters....you don't have a clue as to who I am. I have NEVER hid behind anything. I have never had the pleasure of meeting Scott Hamilton....whoever he is. There are those that are closer to you that know my real name and a lot about my person life......SURPRISED??????

Now let's get on to some of your most recent work and let me explain why it is that many think you are a mental midget.

#1. Your preview youBoob video where you state and I quote...."We have the an area secured. The group that I am working with....you have to get permission from The State of Florida to even gain entry into this land.........My question is.......what happened to the group you working with? To gain entry all you need is a free camping permit. It's not that top secret. You stated you there would be no other people that would be in the area....well what about the others you were camped by that had the dog? AND....you said you were going to be posting on two different sites but the skunkapeflorida site has nothing......OH WELL.....not calling you a liar or nothing.

#2. Now....that said.....Let's start with the first photograph you uploaded about your "LIVE" broadcast Sasquatch / Skunk Ape outing. It showed your supplies for your outing. A 12 pack of Bud, 2 gallons of water and some grocery store bought firewood. I was hoping some wildlife officer was following you and looked you up at your camp site and busted you for bringing alcohol. Don't you know that there are people selling firewood for miles surrounding the area you were in for half the price that the grocery store sells it for? Right on the corner of SR50 and 98 there was a young couple selling wood dirt cheap and they looked like they could use the money.

#3. Nice fire....surprised you didn't get burnt. Expensive wood.

Next at 6:11 pm........no one there yet. You claimed that you had a turkey in an AC/DC crock pot.......never had crock pot turkey before but then again....you evidently haven't either. You claimed in a virusal video that you had NOTHING to eat on Thanksgiving.....but you had a turkey in your crock pot.........but in the ending video.....you are bloating on a ham sandwich.....which was it???? As you stated in your post..."Stay toned"......DOH......proof reading or less Budweiser needed here. Must be the bud.

I Went Home Saturday

I called the trip off. Nobody showed up or contacted me. I found it difficult to manage everything from setting up camp, getting equipment ready, keeping my laptop out of the rain, getting firewood, spot light dying out, getting bit by fire ants, something stalking my tent at night and pushing on the back. I got no sleep and I need to go home. I do have a friend who will go with me next time. He has a canoe. I will post vids on my Youtube channel.

When you drink to much Bud.....all kinds of things can happen.

HOAXER------EXPLAINED

Just what is a hoaxer? Wikipedia's definition is as follows:

A hoax is a deliberately fabricated falsehood made to masquerade as truth.[1] It is distinguishable from errors in observation or judgment,[1] or rumors and urban legends that are passed along in good faith by believers or as jokes.[2]

There are those in our circle of constituents that fall into this category. I don't have to dwindle but it not only pertains to individuals, but can also include group or organizations as well. People that make claims, either by written word, or video type media, without proper evidence or scientific proof to back up their claims.

They may, or may not, act in a responsible manner when they are "called out" to provide proof of their claims. The first act of self defense for these characters is to lay blame on others for their actions. A good case of this was the Bigfoot in the freezer episode that came out of Georgia a couple years ago. A lot of statements were made and claims brought forth, but in the end, when the truth came out and a cover up was impossible, scapegoats were invented and finger pointing started that almost made the entire cryptozoology community coward in corners and keep the lowest profile possible. Save a few that either seen through it from the beginning, or that knew the parties involved and never paid much attention to it except only to get a good laugh out of it.

Next come the Blobsquatchers. Let me begin that photographic or video evidence, outside of print casting or physical sampling, is all we have until a more definite piece of physical evidence is brought forth by any of the many researchers in the field today. Blobsquatching seems to have become a way of internet life for some. On the only hand, there are other that have nothing better to do other than make video's of their cousin Billyneck running around in a monkey suit so they can rush in and post them to You Tube or other media outlets. I just wish that these media centers would make them post to a separate category or section of their site specialized for such stupidity and keep the "real" research video and the unexplainable videos together.

Then there are the "researchers" that post video after video with titles such as BIGFOOT IN FLORIDA, to get viewers tuned in, expecting to see some trace evidence, only to get greeted by the face of a huffing and puffing, out of shape individual filming boats, trees and bushes. Over and over again. Some even go as far as to make point of reference to shadows, tree stumps, and common animal or mechanical sounds, and try to pass them off as....."WHAT WAS THAT?" These definitely fall into the second line of the Wikipedia definition:

Now don't get me wrong. I have respect for ANYONE that gets out in the trenches and does legitimate work. After all, until someone come up with INDISPUTABLE evidence, every one of us are NOTHING but AMATEURS!

YES....I said it.....AMATEURS!!!!

There are those that have made names for themselves by appearing on the small and the big screen as professionals giving commentary and explanations of Cryptids and their backgrounds. But if you stop and think really hard.......what have they done to have anything other than an "Honorary" title as a professional. For the most part, it is hard work in the field, countless hours of collecting information and trace evidence.

Finally, in closing, until certain individuals and some research groups realize that their is no right or wrong way to conduct research. There is only a proper way to present it and a proper way to maintain integrety while researching for any Cryptid event. As long as research is misleading and the people involved continue to act in childish and a broken record manner and not take the advise of those only trying to help them, it will only make it harder for us, "real" researchers. When people trespass, try and pass off noises as something they are not, or just film that BLOBSQUATCH and make false claims, in the end, they will only be remembered for what they are.....closet HOAXERS!

Since March 2010, many strange (and for the most part, unexplained) things have happened in our house, a lot of which we have on film -

* our 3 y.o son moved from where he was sleeping on the lounge to the exact same position on the floor outside his bedroom door. He had to have gone right past where we were sitting but he was never seen or heard moving. He didn't have his pillow or teddy which he never sleeps without.

* One night we filmed his room all night (9pm - dawn). On film he is never seen or heard leaving his room despite the camera pointed right at his bed. In actual fact he came into our room and woke us up at about 3am.

* On film-One night he woke up and immediately looked at something off camera. He was very upset and was saying..."no, no...don't want...no, no...". He definately wasn't dreaming and left the room as quick as he could.

* On film-Our video footage floats as though it's not being held completely still, yet it's on a tripod on even ground and floats when we are in the room and stops when we leave the room (it only did this once and only in one room so a faulty camera is highly questionable)

* On film - Strange, banging/hitting noises that just don't belong in our house. There are no appliances etc to make such noises and everyone is always asleep.

* One night while using the bathroom, a ghostly figure moved quickly past the door. When I checked, everyone was asleep. I felt a cool chill and when I looked over my shoulder I saw it directly.

* This is the most disturbing for us - Last week my wife saw our 14 y.o son walk past the door and smile at her. About 5 seconds later (literally) our 3 y.o son called out to him and his brother answered him from the other end of the house - which is also in the opposite direction to what the "thing" was walking. My wife knew right away what she saw wasn't our son. It was "him" in every detail.

* My wife saw a bright light flash 3 times in quick succession on a bedroom wall; bright like the reflection of a camera flash - no-one was using a camera....

We have had two paranormal teams investigate us now and although they have answered some of our questions, they havent been able to give us an explanation to the above points, that make sense.

For example - "the flash on the wall was a reflection of light" - (how can that be when no-one turned a light on/off/on/off and it was much brighter than any light we have in the house anyway?) -- "The footage floated because you were moving in the room, a bit like an impact tremor, despite the house being on a cement slab" (How come it still floated when I'm standing still, and how come it doesn't float in time with the steps I take?) -- "The 'copy' of your 14 y.o son was probably a Doppelganger. Don't worry, they usually go as quick as they come" (Every article on the Net about Doppelgangers are anything but good news, so what should/can we do?)

The above points are the ones that worry us the most, especially this so-called Doppelganger. Believe me - we don't want a ghost - but the answers people give us to the above points make even less sense than the events themselves, or their explanations are physically impossible in normal circumstances. If anyone can help (with real answers or advice that makes sense and is actually plausible - yes, even if your answer is of a paranormal nature) please reply. We just don't know what to do.

We are living our lives at the moment just waiting for the next 'something' to happen. Perhaps we could e-mail you some pics we have? Please remember one thing - we do not do drugs / alcoholics and we are certainly not chasing notoriety. We just want to live our lives in peace...

BIGFOOT....Missing Link or Mis-Evolved?

When studying Darwin's theory of evolution a commonly misappropriated statement is that humans evolved from simpler forms of life such as apes and then became more complex until they became humans. And yet this is not what Darwin claimed.

The relationship between humans and the mythical and legendary Bigfoot then becomes incredibly strange. Rather than Bigfoot being the missing link between humans and their ancestors, Bigfoot may have gone the other way around and come from humans.

It sound like an incredible claim, but first we should take a look at this commonly cited misinterpretation of the theory of evolution. According to evolution, first there were microbes which clung together into cells and made more complex creatures as more cells worked in cohesion. Over millions of years these cells then became even larger collections of cells competing with others for supremacy, resources, and breeding. Eventually the cells became so complex that they formed an apelike ancestor to today's apes and human beings.

Human beings did not evolve from apes and gorillas, but rather branched off and became different from a common ancestor that would eventually become ape and human respectively. Ultimately the human race would be as it is today just as gorillas, monkeys, dogs, cats, fish, plants, and microbes. And their interactions with one another would result in a more complex ecosystem whereby the cells would continue to compete and interact in the form of complex beings.

But if this is true, then the Bigfoot that is alive today is not the human race as it was a few million years ago. As the diversity of life continues to change, the closest Bigfoot could hope to be to humanity would be to share a common ancestor. Or would it?

If Bigfoot were in North America, there are no apes or monkeys naturally occurring where it is now. Bigfoot would have evolved from the humans reaching the Western World as they migrated here from the human race's point of origin. Bigfoot would then have evolved, according to the theory of evolution, not from the common ancestor humans share with apes, but by branching off fairly recently from what would be considered modern humans. Bigfoot could have evolved fairly recently indeed, in this theory.

But what would have caused such an incredible genetic migration in our recent past? Is it possible that a group of humans migrating far north into the wilderness during the ice age could have relied on thick fur covering their bodies to survive? And is it possible that large size and the ability to be stealthy, rather than complex communication could have served these humans better so they could eventually evolve into modern Bigfoot? And because this shape, combined with a misunderstanding of evolution could have contributed to the conception that Bigfoot was a missing link, is it possible that Bigfoot is not the missing link, but the next step that would have branched off from late paleoamericans in the late Pleistocene era?

Unless Bigfoot arrived to North America by some unknown force, it seems impossible that the being would have predated Paleolithic era humans. And in that regard, is it possible that Bigfoot is not the missing link, but a potential next step in evolution?

The date most commonly associated in popular culture as being the end of the world is December 21st, 2012 - the day the Mayan long count calendar finally comes to an end and a new era begins. But is this date accurate? No, according to one professor at the University of California.

Gerardo Aldana, a professor at the university says that the current calculations of the calendar make many assumptions that simply have not been taken into consideration. He suggests that the real date of the calendar could be up to a hundred years off, meaning even if it does suggest the end of the world it may not actually happen within our own lifetimes. This comes as relief to many in the new age movement who suggest the end of the calendar will be indicative of the end of the world.

It has often been a matter of curiosity among scholars and skeptics alike what the world will look like on dawn of December 21st 2012 in a little over two years. Will the sun rise on chaos sweeping across the Earth? Will it see nothing more than a barren wasteland of people barely clinging on to the last morsels left on Earth and attempting to eek out an existence in a barren and unforgiving wasteland? Or will it see a world left uneasy by the predictions made for the past decade and simply trying to chuckle away the uneasy apprehension that will be all encompassing?

Though it may not have an effect directly, the very belief that the world is coming to an end could have an impact on any number of economic and social aspects of life on Earth. But this inaccuracy illustrated by Dr. Aldana may put a stopper on the mass panic that could potentially break out in the coming hours before the date comes to pass.

There is a great deal of temptation in our society to oversimplify things, and the 2012 phenomenon may actually be another indicator. We no longer would have to face up to the responsibility of nuclear disarmament, the countless years involved in the space race, coming economic crises, and famine if there was a clandestine apocalypse on the next page of mankind's history preordained to either wipe out humanity or decidedly make everything better forever (or at least a few thousand years). So the 2012 date may be changed, but another will arise inevitably given enough time to take away the sting of constant perseverance through adversity.

Aldana's prediction also believed that many other dates throughout Mayan history have in fact been wrong as well by possibly hundreds of years. But is the 2012 prediction's possible inaccuracy reason to sit tight and breath a sigh of relief? Perhaps not yet.

If mankind is to enjoy a fruitful and happy existence in the coming ten years it will be delivered as a result of hard work and determination resulting from planning ahead just as we have done with some consistency throughout history.

     Last month we told you about the Ex Norad Official's (Stanley Fulham) UFO prediction and today, to many's disbelief, a HUGE UFO display happened. Not only over New York, but possibly around the globe.

     Early debunking attempts claim the UFO's over NYC were balloons, but eye witnesses say otherwise.

     Video from Malaysia also popped up showing an ominous glowing object, along with some video from Ohio earlier this morning. Video from Moscow has also surfaced which show some incredible footage.

By Mr Tay's estimation, the bear was about the height of an average adult human being.
It's as yet unclear whether the creature is for real.

In a media release, Wildlife Reserves Singapore said no bears had been missing from its parks.

Wildlife Reserve Singapore manages the Singapore Zoo, Night Safari, Jurong Bird Park and the upcoming River Safari.

It added it was unable to verify yet, if the creature was a real bear.

The blurry video clip of a purported "bear" rummaging through a dustbin at a bus stop had been making the rounds on the Internet. It was also reported on television and in newspapers such as Lianhe Wanbao, Shin Min Daily and The New Paper.

     MENOMINEE TOWNSHIP, Mich. - Nestled just beyond the tree line of Eileen Heider's 53 acres, is Menominee County's newest tourist attraction.
"It's amazing, I want to get back there and check the rest of it out," said Kevin Clermont of Wallace, Michigan, who stopped on his way home from work to sightsee.

     Heider and neighbors heard an explosion-like sound Monday morning. Heider found the nearly 200-yard-long crevice, which measures five-feet deep in parts, Tuesday.
"I was sitting in my recliner and the recliner started to vibrate," said Heider. "And it's not electric."

     Trooper Paul Anderson with Michigan State Police was the first to check it out. He said he ruled out a gas line leak, but could not determine much more.
"This would be a first," he said. "You don't learn that at the academy."
Anderson said he called some geological experts. So far none have come to look at the crevice.

     There have not been any reported earthquakes in the area.

     A massive rift has opened up in Michigan leaving a yawning chasm that goes down 20 feet at certain points and has left local geologists, police, and fire officials entirely perplexed. The massive rift simply opened up without warning and seems to have no real possible explanation. As experts descend on the area, it is unclear how the mystery will unfold. And as the case is cracked on the almost 500 foot rift, no one has any answers.

     As residents were going about their daily business on Monday, a sudden shaking sensation rocked Menominee Township's residential district. Residents reported feeling the trembling of the Earth itself and feeling unable to sense just what the cause was, going outside to investigate after fears that the cause was an Earthquake were laid to rest. After the shaking subsided between the hours of 8:00 and 9:00 AM eastern time, residents went outside to investigate and discovered that the Earth in a straight line through their neighborhood had suddenly yawned outward leaving a crack wide enough at points for a fully grown man to fall into and deep enough for him to disappear into the darkness within.

One anonymous poster on the internet described the event as being like ground was opening up and hell was spilling out. State and local police were soon called and descended on the area. Soon geologists, county officials, and fire marshals were present as well, each weighing in their expertise and each coming back to the same conclusion - it was a complete mystery.

      And since the story first broke through local news stations, theories have been spreading like wildfire blaming everything from the planet's shifting poles to nibiru and 2012. The crack in the Earth is a definite sign of the end times for some while others are blaming an undiscovered fault line or glacial rebound due to global warming. Regardless of the cause, however, it seems to several experts that we may be dealing with an entirely new geological phenomenon.

And with the Earth going through so many rapid changes in such a short span of time, this certainly doesn't seem beyond the realm of reason.

      But how big of an event could this be? The crack suggested not only the shifting of two plates along a fault line, but actually separating as well. Had the crack been much larger, it could have threatened to create a large chasm that threatened to pull people into it as well. But did the shift increase the risk of Earthquakes elsewhere? Or did it indicate another shift that may be taking place in the near future?

      As geologists work to solve the enigma of this sudden crack opening up in an otherwise peaceful neighborhood, we must be forced to simply speculate and hope this doesn't indicate a larger problem.

     As for the residents of Menominee, the crack is certainly causing no small amount of worry over what could follow.

      Could this be the result of all the oil being pumped from ground on the other side of the world causing gaps and voids that are collapsing?

Spottsville Monster Sighting---Possible Hoax

Recently some posts have been showing up at other sites across the web declaring that there was a sighting of the so-called Spottsville Monster. After searching feverishly for anything to show up on the news wire.....ANYWHERE.....no clue of this event has been found. What was found however is the fact that there is a documentary being filmed by Chris McGill of McGill Media, LLC -

The McGill Media crew will be following Bart Nunnelly into the western Kentucky bottom lands in search of the fabled beast according to an April of 2010 post on the Kick Acts web site.

The Kentucky Bigfoot web site holds a lengthy post on a sighting from 1975 that is way to long to be posted here but here, but we will supply the link. In a nutshell, Nunnelly's family and a neighbor had several run ins with the creature until they finally gave in and moved back to the city. One account even states that the beast could speak proper english.

We are more under the impression that it is fodder to spark interest in the documentary than anything else. The 1975 incident makes for good reading....but even it leaves much to imagination. I hope I am wrong here and something shows up in actual news or another "legitimate" cryptid site.....but for now....we have to list this one more as a publicity post than anything else.

Chinese association to hunt for "Bigfoot" search team members

     WUHAN, Oct. 9 (Xinhua) -- A "Bigfoot" research association in central China's Hubei Province said Saturday it plans to launch a global recruitment drive seeking members of a high-profile search team for the ape-like creature in the Shennongjia Forest Region.

     The association, made up of more than 100 scientists and explorers, is hoping the expedition could end the long-running debate on the existence of the legendary half-human, half-ape figure, nearly 30 years after the last organized expedition to seek the mysterious beast in the early 1980s, said Luo Baosheng, vice president of the Hubei Wild Man Research Association.

      Altogether more than 400 people have claimed to have seen Bigfoot in the Shennongjia area, but no hard evidence has been found to prove its existence.
According to witnesses, the creature walks upright, is more than 2 meters tall as an adult and has a gray, red or black hairy body.

      The team members should be between 25 and 40 years old. With good physical health, they should also have a basic knowledge of biology and know how to use a camera, said Luo.

    Preference would be given to those who have outdoor experience.
"Most importantly, we want the team members to be devoted, as there will be a lot a hard work in the process," he said.

    However, there is no specific timetable yet for the expedition as the association is still in talks with several companies and institutions about the funding of the expedition which will cost at least 10 million yuan (about 1.5 million U.S. dollars), said Wang Shancai, an archaeologist with the Hubei Provincial Institute of Cultural Relics and Archaeology, who is also a member of the association.

     Located deep in the remote mountains in Hubei, Shennongjia Nature Reserve has long been rumored to be the home of the elusive creature known in China as the "Yeren," or "Wild Man."

      China organized three high-profile scientific expeditions for Bigfoot through the 1970s and 1980s. Researchers found hair, a footprint, excrement and a sleeping nest that were said to be Bigfoot's, but none of which could conclusively prove its existence.

     The Museum of Seminole County History is exploring a side of history that doesn't usually get much attention. It involves flying toads, river monsters and skunk apes.
"This is a side of history that we never talk about," said Charlie Carlson, local historian and author of several weird Florida books.

     "The Weird, Strange and Unexplained in Seminole County" exhibit, which is open through November, features strange animals, people and happenings found in Seminole County. They range from the Florida skunk ape to local late magician Harry Wise. About a year ago, the idea came to Paul Zuromski, on the Seminole County Historical Commission, and Kim Nelson, the museum's coordinator.

"In a time of budget cuts, I thought, what can we do to get some interest here?" Zuromski said.

     And so they contacted local weird historians Carlson and Scott Marlowe, who pulled from their own strange collections and expertise to create the exhibit. Nelson said she hopes to spark some interest with the younger crowd.

"The problem with history is that young people don't seem to grab onto it," she said.
But that is what makes this exhibit special — it is history with a twist that will capture any imagination, Nelson said.

"This is really opening their minds to the possibilities," Marlowe said.

     The possibility of ghosts and creatures right in their own backyard is something people can't help but be drawn to. It adds spice to history, which even Nelson admits can get dry.

"Folklore is part of the fabric of a culture," Carlson said. "It's those things that kind of hold us together. This is our escape."
"It's fun, but still historically accurate," Nelson said.
So let your mind wander, and escape into something a bit different, while learning a little about Seminole County's history.

Here's some of the weird stuff you'll find at the exhibit:

     There's the skunk ape, "Florida's Bigfoot," a creature that looks like a big ape that walks on two legs. It's named and known for its smell, which cryptozoologist Marlowe said is like a skunk and wet dog. While the creature is thought of as a myth, Marlowe said he's seen the ape three times, once in Winter Park.

     Then there's the Longwood Toad Invasion of 1982. One morning that year, residents woke up to find loads of toads had found their way to their neighborhoods. After a few days of dealing with the critters, one day the people woke up and they were mysteriously gone again. Did they fall from the sky?

     Maggie Bell's Spirit Table is another oddity you'll get to see in person. Florida weird expert Carlson loaned the museum the table, which Maggie levitated.

     Carlson also loaned the Red Rocker, a tiny child's rocking chair that sometimes rocks on its own. The chair was his grandmother's, and Carlson grew up seeing the chair move for no reason. It might have been just a draft, but he likes to think there's a ghost rocking the chair.

      One strange happening with a spot at the exhibit is the I-4 Dead Zone, said to be an area on Interstate 4 in Seminole County where there are graves beneath the road. In that spot, people have seen ghost hitchhikers and strange orbs of light, heard unknown voices while they're on their cell phones and clear radio signals change to static. There's also a claim of a high number of accidents and deaths in this stretch.
You will also find a geode from outer space, mastodon teeth, ghosts, graveyards, a river monster and some very strange people. So take some time, "suspend your disbelief," and let yourself be drawn into the tales.

One-Eyed Elf Attacks Only Men.

    “Help me,” Dr. Makan Ouzin cried weakly. He was alone in his bed, his wife and grown children late in returning from a village festival. The pummeling was like a torrential rain on his ribs and back, but worst of all was the sense that the last breath was being sucked from his lungs. And there was nothing to grab, nothing to fight, because whatever pinned Dr. Ouzin to the mattress was invisible.
Footsteps in the hallway.

     “Father!” A voice screamed and Dr. Ouzin’s strapping 25-year-old son Baba charged into the room. “It is Popobawa atop you!”

     The dreaded night creature, that’s what was trying to kill him, Dr Ouzin realized. Invisible to those it assaulted. Hideously ugly to those witnessing the carnage. In attacks throughout Zimbabwe, Popobawa had been described as a bizarre, elf-like entity with a single eye in the center of its head, small pointed ears, bat wings and talons.

     All of its victims were male and required hospital treatment for broken ribs, bruises and festering wounds where they had been raked by the monster’s talons.

     Baba grabbed a solid ebony stool by its leg and swung it against the Popobawa’s flank. A sickening crunch. The animal howled and bounded out an open window.
When Dr. Ouzin regained consciousness, he was in the same hospital where he usually made his rounds. Like most other men who had survived the Popobawa (Swahili for bat and wing), he reported the incident to the proper authorities. Because, as with each of its victims, Popobawa ordered Dr. Ouzin to reveal what had happened–or it would be back.

     There is no known defense against Popobawa attack, other than by banding together. Fearful villagers often sleep outside, locked arm-in-arm to prevent one of their number from being dragged away. It is estimated that there are about 125 living Popobawa and its range is expanding to include urban areas.

For decades, folks all over the world have aimed their cameras, both still and video, toward the sky in hopes of catching images of a UFO for everyone to see. In some cases, they were remarkably successful.

     In 1965, Rex Heflin’s pictures of a hat-shaped object hovering in the sky over Santa Ana, Calif. have been regarded as some of the most famous ever taken of a UFO.

     Then, there are the four glowing objects in the sky that were captured on film one night in 1952 over Salem, Mass. And in May 1950, Paul Trent of Oregon took one of the best-known photos of what was then called a flying saucer. In short, thousands and thousands of purported UFO photographs and videos have been produced over the years. A few of them are considered to be authentic while many others are outright fakes.

     Now, a man in Simpsonville, S.C. claims to have caught the image of a UFO on his video camera. Jawad Ashey was sitting on the front porch of his home with his girlfriend at approximately 10:30 p.m. Sunday. All of a sudden, a blue light appeared in the night sky.

     Ashey said it started out small and then got bigger, according to a story by WSPA-TV of Spartanburg, S.C. “Just here on the porch, chilling out, and there it was!” he said in the TV story. “I don’t think it was anything of this world, I really don’t.” Ashey said that what he saw was not an airplane or some other manmade aircraft. He’s convinced it is a UFO. Ashey’s video shows the blue light in the sky for about three minutes. “I went from ‘Oh wow, I’m excited,’” he said, “to ‘Oh wow, I’m kinda weirded out,’ to ‘Oh wow, I’m a little scared!’” WSPA Meteorologist Dan Bickford said there was “nothing unusual,” such as a meteor shower, going on in the skies at the time of Ashey’s sighting. Ed Richards, who enjoys astronomy, said both Venus and Jupiter are visible in the night sky now, but this object does not match those heavenly bodies.

     While a blue light has been seen over Simpsonville, S.C., some folks in Highlands are reporting orange orbs in the sky over their homes. The website skyshipsovercashiers.com contains an eyewitness testimony about some weird lights seen near Highlands, which is west of Cashiers.

     “On the evening of June 18, 2010 at approximately 9:30 p.m., I and five friends were sitting on the deck of a home on Panther Mountain outside Highlands, NC and observed six to eight bright orange orbs blinking on and off in the trees adjacent to the property,” read the testimony.

     The weird orange lights were larger than softballs, perhaps up to 8 inches in diameter. The bright color orange was very clear. “This was observed by myself and two others in our party and lasted for about 15 minutes,” read the testimony. “We all experienced feelings of euphoria and elation. Our intuition was that we were being acknowledged by loving and benevolent light beings.” These “light beings” apparently enjoy giving folks in western North Carolina and upstate South Carolina something interesting to talk about. Film Company Seeking Ideas For Movie Creature

The creative juices of the Smith Mountain Lake area may soon start flowing to reel in a prop for a local film project.

     Life Out Loud Films LLC is proposing a contest to select a fake lake monster that will have a role in a movie planned for Smith Mountain Lake this fall.

     The monster — to be called “Smithy” — would be built exclusively for “Lake Effects,” a dramatic comedy set for filming at the lake in October.

     The winner would receive a package that includes feature extra roles in the film, a limousine ride to and from the set, lunch with the cast and crew and the chance to be cast as Smithy.

     All contest entries must be submitted no later than 3 p.m. on Sept. 19 at the Penhook boat dock at 1300 Jefferson Dock Road in Franklin County. The public is welcome to attend the event and view the entries.

     Latta — Another resident has spotted Latta’s strange creature near the community. Miranda Wood said her grandson saw the creature on the road about a month ago while driving his scooter home one evening. “He said, ‘I stopped and looked at it because it was so weird. I honked my horn and it took off running,’” she said.

     Several ideas of what the creature could be have been circulating. Ada area residents have speculated it could be anything from a muskrat to a spider monkey. May Brown, a Stratford resident, said she saw a similar animal years ago called a Jaguarandi. “The thing that I saw didn’t have tall back legs,” she said. “It looked like a house-cat on the head. It had a real fuzzy tail, a long body and short legs. It’s a weird looking animal. I went down to the ranger station and talked to a girl down there and she said they are in this area.”

     Another Ada resident said the mysterious creature’s description sounded like an Italian greyhound. “They walk hunched over. They have the long tail, pointy ears and they do kind of look like a rat,” she said.

These gentle giants have been the blame for many monster sightings in Florida and even the butt of a "Monster Quest" episode. When traveling in groups they can span over 40 feet in length. This makes appear as a much larger single animal. They do this to ward off sharks in the wild. After interviewing the neighbors where the sightings took place, all were in agreement that there was NO NORMANDY NESSIE. They even admitted to seeing the Manatee's on the or around the same time that all the newspapers reported the sightings. Big black cat creature spotted prowling near Gloucester

THREE people have reported spotting a big black cat type creature near Gloucester. The report was made on the website - Big Cats in Britain which records and investigates sightings of suspected big cats in the UK.

In the latest report on the site three people say they saw a large cat liike creature at Hasfield, between Ashleworth and Tirley on August 28.

They describe it as being black with rounded ears and a thick tail approximately 30cms in length. They also say it was slightly smaller than a German Shepherd dog.

The report said: "Firstly I was inside and spotted the cat out in the middle of the field by an old tree where a lot of rabbits tend to live.

"Having watched it from inside through the binoculars for about 45mins I then went outside to get slightly closer.

"The big cat was aware I was there but was in no way bothered at all (it had a good old stare at me!).

"The big cat moved around the tree several times with one successful catch and then made it's way along the hedgerow and up into the woodland surrounding the field."

Seeking the Puerto Rican Chupacabra

The chupacabra hasn’t reared its ugly head in Albuquerque lately. In fact, it’s been almost exactly three years since the last local sighting on the Westside. But many believe the creatures are out there, sucking the blood from goats (chupacabra means “goatsucker” in Spanish) and other livestock. Descriptions of the chupacabra vary widely, but the typical version is a creature 4 to 5 feet tall. It has short, powerful legs, long claws, and terrifying black or glowing red eyes. Some claim it has spikes down its back; others report seeing stubby, bat-like wings.

The chupacabra was first seen in 1995, and believers say it is the result of secret U.S. government experiments in the jungles of Puerto Rico. It had a heyday of about five years when it was widely reported in Latin America, Florida and elsewhere. Reports have dropped dramatically, except for occasional sightings of animals in Texas resembling hairless dogs or coyotes that have been proven to be nothing but that.

I have spent much of the past five years investigating the chupacabra, including an expedition into the jungles of Nicaragua and trips to Texas for the “MonsterQuest” TV show. By 2009, my research had unearthed central facts about the chupacabra, save perhaps the most important: its origin. Why was the goatsucker first sighted in 1995 and not before? Animals simply do not appear out of thin air.

To get answers about where the chupacabra came from, I visited its birthplace, Puerto Rico. I began by interviewing the woman who first sighted the monster, and whose eyewitness description was the basis for the most famous drawing of it in the world.

A woman named Madelyne Tolentino said she saw the beast through a picture window outside her house in Canóvanas, Puerto Rico, during the second week of August 1995. In a 1996 interview, Tolentino said the bipedal animal had dark gray or black eyes that “were damp and protruding, running up to its temples and spreading to the sides,” like typical alien eyes. Its height was “about 4 feet, more or less. At the time, it was walking like a human, on both legs. Its arms were drawn back in an attack position, as though it were a TV monster.” She said it had three long, skinny fingers and that its arms were also very long. Its hair “was rather short, and close to its body. Rather well-combed in fact.”

It had some round things on its torso, and the region seemed ashen, as if something had burned it there. The burn mark revealed pinkish-purple skin, as if the top layer had fallen off.” The creature’s legs, Tolentino said, “were very long and skinny, and I could see three separate toes.” She said they were similar to goose feet, and that it had something like webbing between its toes.

Tolentino’s curiosity about the chupacabra extended to its genitals: “I even got down on the floor to see if it had genitals. It had nothing at all. It was plain and sealed." She also noted a row of distinctive spikes on its back.

The creature turned away, ran into the road, and leaped off into tall grass in a neighboring vacant lot.

Despite being such a significant eyewitness, Tolentino dropped from sight and had only been interviewed once or twice since 1995—never by a professional investigator. With help from a friend, I tracked her down and met her at a busy Borders bookstore outside the capital, San Juan. I had never been able to find a photograph of her and wondered what she looked like. Was she a wacko UFO nut wearing the standard-issue tinfoil hat? Was she a wild-eyed young woman who saw monsters behind every tree?

Tolentino is neither; instead I found an intelligent and sober petite woman in her 40s with an easy smile and quick laugh. She was cautious at first. All she knew about me was that I was a writer from New Mexico who had come to Puerto Rico specifically to see her, so she showed up with her ex-husband at her side.

But she soon warmed up to me as I interviewed her in Spanglish, and Tolentino recounted her story.

The basics remained the same. She said the creature she saw was about 3 feet tall, not the 4 to 5 earlier reported. She also said its skin looked like she expected an alien’s might. “I have an interest in UFOs and aliens, but I never said it was either an extraterrestrial or an animal. I don’t know what it was. I’ve never changed my story,” she told me. “Most people have believed me. People trust me and know I’m telling the truth.” I showed her a drawing I made based upon her original description, and she endorsed it as the most accurate depiction to date.

She then kindly drove the four of us to the site where she had been the first person in history to see the chupacabra. We zoomed through the verdant Puerto Rican countryside, heading east toward her hometown of Canóvanas. We chatted and joked as she drove, and after about 20 minutes we pulled onto a side road and parked in front of a house where her mother still lives. It was a rural residential area, and I almost felt there should be a little monument or plaque commemorating the spot: Birthplace of el Chupacabra.

Tolentino reenacted her sighting, which she said occurred at about 1 p.m. that day in 1995. She had been sleeping when her mother woke her up, excited and alarmed about something odd she saw near the house. Tolentino said the sighting lasted from three to five minutes, and though it happened near a fairly busy road, during that time no other cars appeared.

In the 15 years since her sighting, a few things had changed. A wall had since been built between her house and the road, and a house stood in the once-vacant lot across the street that had tall plants through which the chupacabra disappeared. But, otherwise, the scene was more or less the same. Having studied her account many times at length, it was fascinating to visit the actual location.

I did more investigating while on the island, spending hours in libraries searching through newspaper accounts from 1995 and visiting the Caribbean National Forest (better known as El Yunque), where the chupacabra is said to have emerged.

Speaking to the original chupacabra eyewitness didn’t dramatically alter my information, nor did it change the course of my investigation (for example, she didn’t admit to me that it was all a hoax—not that I think it was).

But mysteries are rarely solved all at once. Pieces of the puzzle come together in increments; a fact established here, a claim disproved there. I had picked up the last few pieces that I’d need to finally solve the mystery.

The findings suggest humans willlive in a very different future if they drive animals to extinction, becausethe loss of each species can alter entire ecosystems.

Some scientists have speculated that effects of humans -from hunting to climate change - are fueling another great massextinction. A few go so far as to say we are entering a new geologic epoch,leaving the 10,000-year-old Holocene Epoch behind and entering the AnthropoceneEpoch, marked by major changes to global temperatures and ocean chemistry,increased sediment erosion, and changes in biology that range from alteredflowering times to shifts in migration patterns of birds and mammals andpotential die-offs of tiny organisms that support the entire marine food chain.

Scientists had once thought species diversity could help buffer a group of animals from such die-offs, either keeping them from heading toward extinction or helping them to bounce back. But having many diverse species also proved no guarantee offuture success for any one group of animals, given that mass extinctions moreor less wiped the slate clean, according to studies such as the latest one.

Then and now

Looking back in time, the diversity of large taxonomicgroups (which include lots of species), such as snails or corals, mostly hoveredaround a certain equilibrium point that represented a diversity limit ofspecies' numbers. But that diversity limit also appears to have changedspontaneously throughout Earth's history about every 200 million years.

How today's extinction crisis - species today goextinct at a rate that may range from 10 to 100 times the so-called backgroundextinction rate - may change the face of the planet and itsspecies goes beyond what humans can predict, the researchers say.

"The main implication is that we're really rolling thedice," said John Alroy, a paleobiologist at Macquarie University inSydney, Australia. "We don't know which groups will suffer the most, which groupswill rebound the most quickly, or which ones will end up with higher or lowerlong-term equilibrium diversity levels."

What seems certain is that the fateof each animal group will differ greatly, Alroy said.

His analysis, detailed in the Sept. 3 issue of the journal Science,is based on almost 100,000 fossil collections in the Paleobiology Database (PaleoDB).

The findings revealed various examples of diversity shifts,including one that took place in a group of ocean bottom-dwelling bivalves calledbrachiopods, which are similar to clams and oysters. They dominated thePaleozoic era from 540 million to 250 million years ago, and branched out intonew species during two huge adaptive spurts of growth in diversity - each timefollowed by a big crash.

The brachiopods then reached a low, but steady, equilibriumover the past 250 million years in which there wasn't a surge or a crash inspecies' numbers, and still live on today as a rare group of marine animals.

Counting creaturesbetter

In the past, researchers have typically counted species inthe fossil record by randomly drawing a set number of samples from each timeperiod - a method that can leave out less common species. In fact two studiesusing the PaleoDB used this approach.

Instead, Alroy used a new approach called shareholdersampling, in which he tracked how frequently certain groups appeared in thefossil record, and then counted enough samples until he hit a target numberrepresentative of the proportion for each group.

"In some sense the older methods are a little like theAmerican voting system - the first-past-the-post-winner method basically makesminority views invisible," said Charles Marshall, a paleontologist at the University of California, Berkeley, who didnot take part in the study. "However, with proportional systems,minority views still get seats in parliament."

Marshall added thatthe study was the "most thorough quantitative analysis to dateusing globalmarine data." But he added that researchers will probably debatewhether the PaleoDB data represents a complete-enough picture of the fossilrecord.

Nothing lasts forever

The idea that rules of diversity change should not come as asurprise for most researchers, according to Marshall.

"To me,the really interesting possibility is that some groups might not yet be closeenough to their caps to have those caps be manifest yet," Marshall toldLiveScience. Or "evolutionary innovation" might happen so quicklythat new groups emerged to increase overall diversity, even if each sub-groupreached a cap on diversity.

If anything, the record of pastextinctions has shown the difficulty of predicting which groups win out inthe long run. "Surviving is one thing and recovering is another,"said Marshall, who wrote a Perspectives piece about the study in the same issue of Science.

One of the few consistent patterns is that growth spurts indiversity can apparently happen at any time, according to Alroy. He added thatthe background extinction of individual species has also remained consistent - theaverage species lasts just a few million years

Of course, the ongoing extinction crisis of modern timesgoes far beyond the background extinction rate. Alroy noted that it could notonly wipe out entire branches of evolutionary history, but may also changethe ecosystems shaped by each species.

That means today's species matter for environments aroundthe world, and so humans can't simply expect replacements from the diversespecies of the future.

"If we lose all the reef builders, we may not get backthe physical reefs for millions of years no matter how fast we get back all thespecies diversity in a simple sense," Alroy said.

Fake Snake Hunters Begging For Dollars.......maybe the CFZ can help!

The Warner Amazon Expedition is making a plea for donation dollars so they can go back to the site of what they claim to be the domain of a giant snake living in the Peruvian Amazon Basin. Many questions are left in the open unanswered about their claims. NatGeo even decline to help them out. Now a film compnay that will go to Texas and do an hour long documentary on what the CFZ was trying to pass off as a Chupacabra, or "Blue Dog" turns down an chance to expose what Mike Warner claims as the biggest scientific find of the 21 century....well let's just say that either NatGeo knows people are tired of the MonsterQuest, or Destination Truth style programming, or they know that the Warner foundation is just exploiting a fictional creature.

Their web site is loaded with fake photos and interviews with people who have never seen the huge snake, but darn it.......they just "know" it's there cause they felt the ground move. Never mind that a snake of the size that they claim that it is, would need to eat the equivalent of 3 - 4 human sized prey a week just to maintain a body the size they claim it to be. Also they show photos of what they call a path or trench dug through the ground that carries NO characteristics of being made by a snake.

At 5 meters, or 20 feet wide and an unknown length, this animal would weigh an excess of 2 tons............and no one saw it. I guess they have never seen or experience a flash flood as well. Well here it is.....you decide for yourself if you want to send your hard earn pesco's to support another hair brained expedition.

Amelia Earhart's Remains May Have Been Found

Seventy-three years after the aircraft flown by aviatrix Amelia Earhart went missing, the wreckage of a plane some claim is hers has been found in deep water 800 kilometres east of where she was last seen.

But claims that the Lockheed Electra – with the remains of two humans in it – is lying in the Solomon Seas, off the west coast of the island of Buka in Papua New Guinea, have provoked derision from professional Earhart hunters, who believe she got further.

"It is causing a lot of excitement here," journalist Stain Sawa, from PNG's National Broadcasting Corporation, said yesterday.

Although he has yet to see it himself, he says experts say the plane is an Electra, the type Earhart was flying when she disappeared. "The plane is still intact but is partly covered by coral reef."

The fate of the American celebrity flier and her navigator Fred Noonan has been an enduring mystery since they took off from Lae, in New Guinea, on July 2, 1937, for Howland Atoll, an uninhabited United States island 3000 kilometres southwest of Honolulu.

Some claim she fell into Japanese hands and was taken prisoner and killed as a spy, while others say she crashed on the island of Nikumaroro in Kiribati and died there.

Tighar, a foundation based in the US state of Delaware, has a contract with Discovery Television to explore Nikumaroro for Earhart, and claims it has found evidence.

Executive director Ric Gillespie said that while Buka would have been on the route Earhart flew, Tighar believed it could prove she got much further. "Someone finds an Earhart plane at least once a month," he said from Delaware.

The find at Buka, which is at the northern end of the province of Bougainville, has turned into a political drama with fears that an American group is trying to take as much of the plane as it can.

Local politicians have become involved and an expedition is to be mounted next month in a bid to confirm the identity of the plane. It lies in waters up to 40 metres deep.

The Earhart mystery has had a tenuous New Zealand link.

In 1940, a British colonial ship, Viti, took 17 New Zealand soldiers and radio operators to the Gilbert Islands to act as coastwatchers. After dropping the men off, the ship went on to Nikumaroro, where they found two sets of human bones.

They packed them into a wooden sextant box. Back in Suva, a doctor concluded that one set must have belonged to a white man. They closed the box and the war went on.

The box has never been found but it has long been rumoured that it is in the vast attic at Government House, Suva.

As for the New Zealanders, October marks the 70th anniversary of their execution by Japanese soldiers on Tarawa atoll.

Let's take a trip back in time. Back before Walt Disney built Cinderella's Castle and the Haunted Mansion. Back before places such as Harmony and Celebration existed.

Try to picture Osceola in November 1966. It's a county where most everybody knows everyone else. Where news spreads neighbor to neighbor. Where cattle and citrus still drive the economy. A place with swamps and wild stretches where unexplained creatures could hide and even thrive.

Let me introduce you to the "Horror of Holopaw." This is not an April Fool's prank. It is based on historical news accounts from the Orlando Sentinel's archives.

I doubt many remember this odd tale. I rediscovered it the other day doing some research on a totally unrelated matter. There were three articles from 1966 describing the "horror" and the "monster."

"It resembled a gorilla, according to a pair of hunters and the son of a ranch hand who claimed they had seen it," according to the Sentinel's account.

Such stories are not unusual in Florida. Last year, a Polk County woman told of a similar sighting. Reports of skunk apes, the smelly Southern relative of Bigfoot, go back more than 200 years, but most folks say it's all myth.

The first story from 1966 carried the headline "Friendly Scared Monster Horrifies Holopaw" and the introductory paragraphs about the "Abominable Sandman" caught my attention all these years later:

"There's a friendly but frightened monster roaming about the countryside here. Honest. The residents here believe it. Come twilight, they lock their doors and they keep loaded guns nearby. . . . It is five feet tall, hairy, twice as broad as a man and it walks on two feet."

A pair of hunters shot at the creature and said it lumbered away, leaving a trail of blood.

"James Crosby, a ranch hand on Deseret Farms, believes his 22-year-old son, Eugene, was the first to see the monster," according to the account.

"The creature had raised the garage door at the Crosby home, and when Eugene rushed forth to see what was happening, the monster threw a large tire tube at him. And later -- on three occasions that night -- the monster opened a gate, Crosby recalled."

To Helen Spears, who owned a small zoo with her husband, Bob, it was obvious the monster wanted to be friendly.

Ronnie Sharp thought something was out there. "The dogs around here bark more at night than they ever have before. That proves something is roaming around that the dogs aren't used to," he said

The headline from another story from the Sentinel's clips notes that " `Horror' Still Roams Osceola Gloam" and that "Its Presence Has Osceola County on Edge." The final thread of the story is dated Dec. 7 and says two game wardens were skeptical of the creature's existence.

"If anyone should see it, I would probably be the first to try to locate it. But I can find nothing definite about it, so that's that," said Remer Albritton, whose job was "to roam the far stretches of eastern Osceola."

The final line of the story: "What next?" Apparently nothing. The "monster" retreated into the wilds of Osceola -- or the imaginations of those who originally spotted it.

Blue Dog thoughts for the narrow minded

      It would seem as though Lon Strickler over at Phantoms and Monsters, has joined the ranks of the narrow minded in the "Blue Dog" line of thinking. A recent post that can be read here even uses the "Blue Dog" name to gain attention. It would seem that his blog, which he will sell to you if you have a kindle for $1.99 a month is just another way of making money off blog readers. I guess the fake autograph industry just don't pay the bills.

     Just like the members who started this whole Blue Dog mess, the CFZ, I guess if you don't know what you are talking about and spend your life arm chair researching you can post what ever you want and call it what ever you want. Then at the end of the senseless post, he even adds that he hopes no one kills this creature. Well Lon...I guess that when the mercury drops below freezing and natural easy to find food sources dry up and this animal is freezing to death and or starving, or digging a hole under your house to stay warm and raiding your farm animals for food to stay alive....that is ok in your book. Maybe when it attacks and kills your family pet cat or small dog for food....that is ok. Maybe, if by some miracle, it happens to breed and creates more hairless vermin....that's OK to you as well!!!

     Not one of these creatures have EVER been classified as anything other than crossbreeds or simple everyday animals with severe cases of the mange. DNA testing does NOT lie Lon....Jon.....and anyone else that thinks these animals are the fabled Chupacabra. Besides these animals destroying farmers livestock, there are no comparisons to be made to the Chupacabra. The media spews these stories out and if you take time to notice.....only when there is a lack of news stories to fill their time slot.

The Wizarding World of OVERPICED and OVERHYPED Harry Potter

After a run of movies that started out as cute and charming to a real armpit called the Half Blood Prince.....Harry Potter has captured the imagination of the young and old for years. Now there is a new theme park in Orlando Called The Wizarding World of Harry Potter that is a TOTAL BUST....in our book.

Well the hype and newness hasn't worn off yet, but if you are wondering what The Wizarding World of Harry Potter located at Islands of Adventure in Orlando, Florida is all about........don't expect much.

If you are making plans to visit the attraction, my advice to you is.......wait six months. As season pass holders, my wife and I have been watching the attraction be built for over a year. The commercials on the television and the ads run on the Internet are misleading to say the least. We even waited a month to see it and were EXTEREMELY disappointed.

After waiting in a line, for over an hour, outside the newest addition to the Orlando tourist trap, we finally were admitted to the 20 acre complex which was built within the Islands of Adventure Park. We were greeted by approximately 3000, elbow to elbow people from all over the world on a 97 degree day. The smell was horendous to say the least. Every exhibit was surrounded by lines containing no less than 250 heads, strollers, wheel chairs, and yes....sweating smelling bodies. Even the simplest of exhibits, a candy store Honeydukes, had a line of no less than 150 people and require a wait of 45 minutes in the hot sun, to get inside where the prices were so extreme, I had to laugh at the masses spending money there. For an example.....the chocolate frog that escaped Harry on the train ride to Hogwarts can be had.....for a meager $10.00 US. A box of around 75 jelly beans that have a variety of flavors, some good, some just awful, just like in the movie, can be purchased for the same amount of money $10.00 US. Now why would ANYONE in their right mind, spend that much money on a box of jelly beans? Tehn there is the merchandise that doesn't even pertain to the movie. All Chinese made tinker toys you can buy in any Dollar Store across America for $1 - $2 dollars at prices seven to ten times higher. Example.....a carnival type Whoopee Cushion that costs around twenty cents at online clearing houses....$4.50 US. This was the cheapest item in the store.

Next there is the train staion where a locomotive engine extends into the main street....nothing to see here.....the train station is the location for lockers to store your goods while ride one of the roller coasters. Then there is Ollivander's Wand Shop where a wand picks it's owner. HYPE HYPE HYPE......another line of 250+ and an hour later out in the hot sun where 25 people are allowed in at a time for one child to have the chance of being picked. A short magic show that last two minutes then you get dumped into the merchandising shop The Owl's Post, with even higher prices for Chinese plastic goods.

If you get dehydrated with all this standing and line waiting you can buy a bottle of Pumpkin Juice or Butter Beer or Pear Juice for no less than $6.25 US. No other drinks are available inside because J.K. Rowling would not allow it.

Hogwarts Castle is another piece of art that could have been made much more interesting. The view of pictures on the wall, closed marked doors, etc. are all done in museum fashion. There is a ride inside where the usual 48" standard must be met before you can get on it. If you have children that are smaller than this....the whole Harry Potter park is a total bust. Outside of a couple of shows, one being a frog choir singing and another some sort of dancing and dueling show....there is NOTHING here for the smaller in stature.

If two roller coasters, over priced shops, eateries that serve simple over priced food, T-shirts you can up to the light and read a newspaper through costing upwards of $30.00 US and everything made in China is your idea of spending your hard earned money....then by all means go there. PLEASE.....that would make the rest of the park available for me to enjoy. In my book....it is the biggest waste of money, real estate, time and effort ever placed in an amusement park and another way of supporting the Chinese crap product industry.

UFO reported sighted in Tuaran

KOTA KINABALU: An unidentified flying object (UFO) was reported sighted at a beach resort in Tuaran recently.

The photo taken by James Dungil shows the UFO as seen from Tuaran Beach Resort on Saturday.

The round blue object, which was said to be hovering in the sky near the Tuaran Beach Resort, was sighted by resort guests and employees.

Tuaran Beach Resort restaurant manager, James Dungil, 27, who were among the eyewitnesses said the object was sighted on Saturday around 4 pm.

“I was in the restaurant with some friends and saw some guests pointing up to the sky.

Weeks ago, word spread like wildfire through the rag-tag cryptozoology community that roams the Democratic Republic of the Congo in search of the prehistoric swamp creature. Believed by many to be a living sauropod dinosaur, the mysterious behemoth has been sought by adventurers for nearly as long as the Loch Ness Monster.

Measuring up to 25-feet long, with a 5-feet long neck and draping tail, an adult Mokele Mbembe is said to have reddish-brown skin and a shy disposition, one reason why a living specimen has never been captured.

The monster inhabits one of the most hostile environments known to man. To simply set foot in the fetid, disease-ridden Likoula Swamp is to risk one’s life from strange maladies that make the Ebola virus seem like the sniffles. Among humans, only the legendary pygmy has been able to reside successfully in the swamps on a permanent basis. And even the hardy pygmy has a lifespan of a mere 35 years.

According to two reliable sources, the fresh Mokele Mbembe report set off a stampede among those men and women who have suffered serious illness and financial near-ruin in their quest to capture the dinosaur-like creature.

But once again their efforts were in vain. Because the team of three Chinese cryptozoologists that first arrived at the unnamed pygmy village on the shores of Lake Tele did not find a youthful Mokele Mbembe. Elders in the village, which had been experiencing famine-like conditions, acknowledged they had snared a 10-foot long monstrosity. But they had then slaughtered it and devoured the succulent chicken-like meat in a celebratory all night feast and sexual orgy involving dozens of writhing participants no more than 4′ 8″ tall. Even the bones had been crushed and mixed with an estimated two gallons of menstrual blood to create a paste aimed at increasing the potency of the male hunters who had saved the lives of so many starving young children.

Has science been cheated of its first great 21st century discovery? Or is it better to have innocent children survive by eating the nutritious flesh of a rarity that “civilized” man only desires to probe, examine and measure?

NO CHUPACABRA'S IN TEXAS

The title says it all. The world we live in today, with failing economy's and the ever search for the breaking story, has led many to skip the practical and given rise to tabloid stories. It used to be that only magazines such as the National Enquire or Hello! would be the home of made up stories to fill it's pages with worthless content. But today......this is happening world wide. It seems that a story about a mangy dog or a fox can but concocted and reworded to include a cryptozoologiczl term.......in this case, Chupacabra, to make every arm chair cryptozooligist rush to that area to get in on the bogus facts.

Natgeo or National Geographic's television, ran a story about an elderly lady that killed an animal and kept its remains for scientic study. When these remains were sent to Texas A&M for DNA analysis, it was indeed found to be nothing more than a common Coyoyte. There was another body found in the West Mesa area of New Mexico which turned out to be nothing but the carcass of an Ocean Skate which is a type of Ray. More remains found in Nicaragua and sent to UNAN were found to be.........you guessed it.........a mangy dog. Recently more of these sick animals have been trapped, and even found dead lying on golf courses, and people STILL want to call them Chupacabra. Some even went as far as to stuff them and put them into make shift museums.

There are organizations out there that have dedicated time and effort into these mythical creatures. The CFZ or Centre for Fortean Zoology is one. They made a vacation........I mean "expedition" to Texas in search of the creature they later renamed....Blue Dog. This organization has since gained a rep unfavorable by many. Some Mythical Creatures Can Be Real

Lately, there have been several sightings of a creature in Texas, known in lore as the Chupacabra. They were described as ugly and dog-like, and were spotted in a rancher's barn in Forth Worth. Many people have said

I can remember living in Cleveland, and I was cleaning the kitchen up late, probably around midnight. I had just finished up, and all I had to do was take the garbage out into the backyard. I let my dog out, which usually gave me a sense of security, since he was a full-grown pit bull terrier, but this time was a bit different.

My dog ran off our back porch and down the stairs in excitement to be outside. He was so excited he could not see a shadowy creature standing right in front of him. I could remember it so clearly. It was dog-like, on four legs, but was extremely tall; so tall it would probably be to my waist line, and I am 5'7" tall. It was very wooly, as if it had dreadlocks, but it was a huge dark shadow. Still standing on my porch, I stood frozen as the creature took notice to my presence at the bottom of the porch stairs. How could my dog have not seen this thing? After a few moments of staring at one another, the creature fled away. My dog still did not see it. At that moment, I dropped the trash bag on the porch and ran back into the house. I didn't speak a word of it to anyone, because I could not even believe what I saw.

A few months later, while sitting on the front porch with my cousin and sister, again around midnight, I saw the creature again; the exact shadowy, woolly figure. It ran from one side of the street to the other side. The crazy thing about it was that, even though it ran under the streetlight, it was still a dark figure. After crossing the street, it simply disappeared. I told my sister and cousin to look at it, and, to my surprise, they had both seen the creature before as well. They too had kept this story to themselves, and we all were so excited that we went crazy. After doing a little research on my own, I learned that there were others who had seen something similar to what I had seen. It was often called the phantom black dog.    The new SyFy show Fact or Faked is about as pointless as the Discovery Channels MythBusters. Plagued by Josh Gates rejects these clowns try and replicate viral video and paranormal happening to prove whether or not they have been faked, or are possibly real.

    I watched the episode tonight where they attempt to duplicate a police chase where a car made some professional stunt driver moves doing U-turns and losing the police car and then after another quick turn, seemed to go through a fence without harming it, and the police car having to stop the chase because the car reappeared on the other side.

    They start out with actual testing of a drivers ability to do a U-turn, then move the experiment to a sport stadium with ramps and other things that don't even pertain to the actual video. Just like MythBusters, the procedure taken to prove the cases are to varied to have any reliable outcome. They use the theory of, "This is how to duplicate the situation and if it works....it must be truth. If it don't work......it must be truth."

Sadly this is the method used by MythBusters as well. When they get enough complaints.....they make a new show. After the opening sequence, the show started to hold interest. As when they showed the fake video coming out of Florida that Lon over at Phantoms and Monsters wall papered his site with. I was hoping that it would be made public. Watch them if you must, but I can tell you it's a complete waste of time. Nothing definite ever comes to view beside motionless figures on strings or broom sticks pulled or pushed into view of a doorway without any movement what so ever. Sounds created by the people in the room. Shadows made by the same. Just as the Perth Orb videos.......these are man made. It's a shame that idiots keep posting these all over the web. It's also a shame that people believe in them.

I guess if people think a mangy varmint or dog in Texas is a Chupacabra.....they will believe in anything.

UFO in Georgia---MUFON

A Georgia couple reports a bright light at 300 feet that was moving so slow they first thought it was floating, according to testimony from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) witness reporting database.

They described the object spotted at 10 p.m. on July 13, 2010, as 200 feet in diameter, "emitting a white light from its spherical center," with "four rotating rings around it that were definitely metallic looking and were rotating pretty fast."

After about 1 minute, the object "shot up wards into the sky until it was a dim ball of light and then disappeared completely. "

The following is the unedited and as yet uninvestigated report filed with MUFON. Please keep in mind that most UFO reports can be explained as something natural or manmade. If Georgia MUFON State Director Ralph Howard investigates and reports back on this case, I will release an update.

GA, July 13, 2010 - large whit light traveling slowly and very low and then took off upward. MUFON Case # 24519.

It was 10:00 pm on July, 13 2010. Me and my wife went out side to look at the stars again just before we get ready for bed.
To the west we saw an air plane flying south east. after watching it for about 4 minutes i had noticed a ball of white light heading due south from the north around the north star (Polaris)
At first glance since it was so low and bright i thought it was a helicopter but there was no noise.

It looked like it was only about 300ft off of the ground and was moving very slowy. i would say it was going about 12 mph almost like it was floating.

being completely amazed i of course forgot to grab my camera but as it flew over our house i got a good look at it.
It was about 200 ft in diameter and was emitting a white light from its spherical center. it had four rotating rings around it that were definately matalic looking and were roatating pretty fast. after 1 minute and 5 seconds it shot up wards into the sky until it was a dim ball of light and then disappeared completely.
My wife quickly checked the time and it was 10:10 pm. so it would have appeared at 10:09.Its location was 31 degrees north by 81 degrees west. i have provided a ruff and quick sketch of the object from what i could see.

Local News Anchors Confess Their Chupacabra Report Is Only For The Ratings

It’s a summer Wednesday at your local news office and nothing particularly spectacular has happened in the area, but, as news anchor, you’ve still got a half-hour to fill and the script shows nothing but dead air for a good five minutes. What do you do? At WOAI San Antonio (an NBC affiliate), anchors Randy Beamer and Elsa Ramon resurrected a decade-old alien story, and felt too guilty not to admit it was a shameless attempt to raise ratings.
Ramon and Beamer went on air tonight and reported on the possible discovery of the mythical Chupacabras, most recently seen also helping to fill up dead air time on VH1’s “I Love 1999.” “You know, what would it be if we didn’t have a story about a ‘chupacabra?” Ramon asks Beamer, who responds earnestly: “It would not be a ratings month– I’m sorry, did I say that? I can’t say that.”
Beamer then continues to report to story on the verge of laughter, letting another cynical comment slip mid-report: “[the finding] has many people, especially on TV, wondering: Is the Chupacabra for real?”
Let it never be said that news anchors are not honest people.

Just to name a couple. He reported on a skunk ape sighting that turns out to be nothing more than a family of river otters just a few days ago. I myself before leaving on vacation checked this out as did Ben, the one who sent me the report. Now he recently claims of a foot print he found.....or made.....as being what Carmine Tom Biscardi would say....."the real deal!"

Now you can enlarge and see for yourself if Ben's argument holds water. Fasno stated on his web site that Ben stated that the remains of an otter was found. Nothing is farther from the truth. Ben told me in his email that all he said was that he found clams and other items that had been eaten by an otter.....but no remains. It seems Fasano has a problem with others in the field as well. He is constantly at ends with those that think along the same lines as we do. After all.....jsut view his youtube posting and videos on his many sites. The only living thing he has recorded is natural Florida wildlife....nothing more. Yet his headers all say something about Skunk Ape sighting or findings. We congratulate him for his tireless efforts in the field and probably many mosquito bites he has incurred, but all we ask is.....erase your film and wait until something worthy of your efforts turns up to post them anywhere. Seems he falls into the, "I have to see my face on the internet crowd." And that is sad. Thanks to Ben for bringing this to my attention. I have sent Mr. Fasano countless emails to team up and do some "REAL" research but he only deletes posts from his sites and ignores the chance to be a real player in the field. Good luck Tim Fasano......maybe one day you'll have a video or photo worth looking at. Until then...keep collecting those cab fares. Research costs money.

UFO Spiral in the sky seen and heard across Western Canada

   The Norway spiral comes to mind when TheWeatherSpace.com received photographs and even an amazing video of the event. An object swooped down from the sky and then returned in a brilliant display on Friday night across the Western Canada areas.

   Three different photographers have given their photos to TheWeatherSpace.com in what looks like something out of a science fiction movie. We cannot see what would cause this one Earth. The Norway spiral was said to be caused by a missile launch in the Russian territory. But what is this?

   The only known areas to launch on the Western coast are the Vandenberg Air Force Base and Alaskan areas. Vandenberg confirms no launches and Kodiak Island has to be ruled out due to the direction of travel (from the west).
The photographs show a very similar shape and mysterious object off the coast of Canada. The object is not a missile as one photograph from the beach has the trajectory curving up! What is it?

I was checking out all hi-res pictures of the mission STS-103, available to public access on NASA webserver, expecting to find more images of the UFOs that I put in my last video. One by one I just was convinced I wouldn't find out any other pic, when I came across with a sequence of 3 shots of the same image, on 3 different resolutions. I just got dizzy and baffled with them.

I don't know about you, but IMO they are the best evidence of an extraterrestrial spaceship caught during a NASA mission, EVER. If you think I'm speculating or jumping to conclusions, just watch this video and obviously I highly recommend the download of the original pictures to further and deeper investigation.

The Goatman of Maryland

Deep in the heart of Maryland, USA, lurks one of the most fearsome beasts in all of folklore – the Goatman.

Those who have encountered this monster, describe him as being half-man from the waist up and half-goat from the waist down. Some claim that the beast even has goat horns on his head. If this was not bad enough, the Goatman is also said to have a huge double-blade axe which he uses to hack the victims he encounters in the darkened lanes. He is nearly always described as being between six and seven feet tall.

What is striking is that the creature sounds similar to folklore concerning the devil, the Greek god, Pan, or the Greek creature known as a satyr.

Most Urban Legends tend to ‘move’ about, with various towns and villages laying claim to the monster. In this case however, the Goatman is firmly entrenched in the legends and folklore of Maryland.

Stories of the Goatman first appeared from around 1957 when a couple were spending a passionate moment in their car under the moonlit sky. Their lovemaking was suddenly interrupted by a banging on their car hood. Looking up, they were shocked to see a goat-like creature staring at them, with a large double-bladed axe in its hand. The creature glared at the couple before running off into the woods.

Sightings of the strange creature continued coming from Upper Marlboro and Forestville in Prince George’s County. From there, sightings spread to other states; with reports of the Goatman being made as far south as Texas in the 1960s, Washington and California during the 1980s, and as far north as Ontario, Canada and Cannelton, Indiana during the 1990s.

In another report from 1971, a woman was awakened in the dead of night by the barking of her dog. Curious to see why the dog was barking so loudly, she peered through the window. Suddenly from the darkness of the night, she saw a strange creature moving about near to where the dog was tied. Scared, she retreated back to her bedroom and lay awake terrified all night. The following morning she plucked up courage to investigate. She discovered her dog was dead – beheaded.

Prince George’s County, where the majority of sightings occur is a heavily wooded area of Maryland and could easily be home to an unknown creature. One place has become synonymous with the Goatman – “Crybaby Bridge” (Governor’s Bridge Road). It is said that if you go to “Crybaby Bridge” in the middle of the night, you will hear the braying of the Goatman as he hunts for victims.

Perhaps the strangest events connected to the Goatman is the number of missing and mutilated pets, particularly dogs. In 1971 The Washington Post published an article which provided firm links between the creature and the pets. However some journalists have pointed out that many of the corpses were found alongside a well-used railway track, which could provide a more down-to-earth explanation. It must also be pointed out that despite the legends, there has never been a real human victim ripped apart or decapitated.

Locals often say that the creature is not a natural born animal, but rather an unholy experiment by the federal government and the Beltsville Agricultural Research Center in Maryland. The creature escaped and has since wreaked havoc in the area. It is unlikely that it was possible to do such experiments in the 1950’s as the technology wasn’t yet available.

Similarly, the old Glenn Dale Hospital which was an old tuberculosis sanitarium, is said to have had some hand in the creation of the monster. A patient being treated there was supposedly experimented on. The experiments, however went wrong, leaving the patient mutilated and deformed. He managed to escape his tormentors and lived out his life in the woods where he plotted vengeance against humankind.

Others say that the Goatman is a type of Bigfoot or Skunk Ape. Cryptozoologist, Loren Coleman has also drawn similarities between the Goatman and the Bunnyman sightings of Fairfax County, Virginia.

One intriguing theory comes from the lore of the Piscataway native tribes. In 1666 a Jesuit priest wrote about the tribes belief in the ability of a magical creature to turn itself into animals. Along with his account, he included a picture of a Bigfoot-like creature. Could this creature be one of these magical creatures of old?

Prince George’s County has another supernatural claim to fame. It is also the home of the demon-possessed boy that the Exorcist was based on. Some locals say that this occurred because the devil has a special affinity for the area. Could the sightings of the Goatman actually have some Satanic roots?

One thing is certain. When traveling at night in the woods of Maryland, it is wise for you not to stop your car or walk outside alone, as you never know when the Goatman could appear to add yet one more victim to his tally!

VALDOSTA — Referring to the Skunk Ape story in last week’s editions of The Valdosta Daily Times, the man’s voice paused on the recorded phone message.

“... I saw it.”

The Times received calls from readers who believe they have seen what may be a Skunk Ape in South Georgia. One reader account came from Brooks County, the other from Berrien County.

A Skunk Ape is reportedly a hairy humanoid creature that walks on two legs. It is described as being similar to the legendary Bigfoot, but of slighter build. Skunk Apes grow about seven-feet tall and weigh 200 to 300 pounds, according to witness accounts.

The creature is called a Skunk Ape because of the foul odor accompanying most sightings. The smell is described as being similar to rotten eggs. Skunk Apes reportedly love wooded, swampy areas, and the Skunk Ape legend comes primarily from the Florida Everglades.

While the Skunk Ape ranks among legendary creatures such as Bigfoot, the Loch Ness monster, the Mothman, and others, numerous Internet sites report witness accounts. Several sites mentioned recent Skunk Ape sightings along the Withlacoochee River between Quitman and Valdosta in Brooks County. This repeated Internet mention to South Georgia led to The Times story last week.

The article led to these subsequent reader accounts. Both sightings occurred prior to the article’s publication, according to these readers. Both readers gave The Valdosta Daily Times their full names. One asked that we not publish his name. We use the first name of the other caller.

Did these folks see a Skunk Ape? We’ll share their stories and you decide.

• Between 10-10:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 21, Joy was driving along Highway 37 in Berrien County. She had a friend on her cell phone.

Outside of Ray City, she had her car’s bright lights on and she saw something hairy, walking away from the road, into the woods.

“I saw the back of something,” Joy says. “It was tall. ... I thought it was a bear but a bear don’t walk on its back legs. ... Honestly, it looked like an ape.”

Joy said her husband’s about six feet tall and she gauged what she saw to be about the same height as her husband. She didn’t smell anything driving by the creature.

She told her friend on the phone that she thought she saw something like a hairy man walking into the woods. Her friend laughed and asked if Joy had been drinking. “I told her I hadn’t been drinking and, sir, I don’t drink,” Joy told The Times.

Joy continued driving that night. She mentioned what she saw to a few people, but didn’t give it much more thought until her mother told her about the article in The Valdosta Daily Times.

During daylight, Thursday, April 29, the day after The Times story, Joy and her mother traveled to the same part of the road where she claimed to witness a creature. She said the area has numerous trees and is swampy.

Joy believes she saw a Skunk Ape or a creature like it.

— Last Friday, The Times received the phone message from the man in Brooks County who claimed “... I saw it.”

Calling him back, he said earlier this spring, before the leaves returned to the trees, he was smoking a cigar on the back porch of his Brooks County home, three miles outside of Quitman. It was between 10-11 a.m., when he “saw something walk out of the woods.”

He first thought it a deer but saw that it had no hind quarters. He then thought it “an idiot in a ghillie suit,” a type of camouflage clothing covered in loose strips of cloth or twine designed to look like foliage.

But even then he thought something wasn’t right.

He went inside his house and got a pair of binoculars. He saw a hairy humanoid, with the hair being red, fading to brown and grey. The creature was lean and at least over six-feet tall. The creature was probably about 500 yards away, too far away to smell, he said.

He watched the creature for about eight minutes through the binoculars. During that time, the creature leaned on one arm against a tree, looking around. It scratched its left calf with its right foot. Then it ran away.

“It didn’t walk like a human,” he said. “It’s joints don’t quite move like a human.”

He said if you throw a sheet over a man or a woman, you can tell the gender by the way the person walks despite the sheet. This creature had a strange walk that did not match the movements of a human, he said.

The man thinks the creature is an omnivore, an eater of meats and plants, rather than a vegetarian. A vegetarian has a bigger belly, like a cow, he said.

He believes this creature stays lean from eating meat. What kind of meat? The man says he’s taking no chances.

“If I go out in the woods now,” he says, “I make sure to carry something with me that goes bang.”

He believes he probably isn’t the only person to see the creature.

“If I’m calling, there’s probably nine other people who’ve seen it who haven’t said a word to anyone,” he says, “because they don’t want people thinking they’re crazy.”

Mothman – Real Story And The Movie

The Mothman is a creature that supposedly seen in Charleston and Point Pleasant areas of West Virginia from 12 November 1966 through December 1967. Most observers describe the Mothman as a winged man-sized
creature with large red eyes and large wings of thought. The creature
was sometimes reported as no, with his eyes on his chest.

A number of hypotheses have been presented eyewitness reports of the errors of identification and coincidence to explain the paranormal and conspiracy theories.
The 15 of November 1966, two young married couples from Point Pleasant, and Linda Scarberry and Steve and Mary mallette, traveling at night in the parking lot of Scarberrys. West Virginia passed artifacts
Works, an abandoned World War II TNT factory, about seven kilometers
north of Point Pleasant, where 2500 hectares (10 square kilometers)
McClintic Wildlife Management Area, when they noticed two red lights at l
shade of an old generator plant near the factory gate. He stopped the
car and apparently discovered that the lights were bright red eyes, a
large animal, the shape of a man, but bigger, maybe six and a half years
to seven feet high, with large wings on their backs “crusaders, after
Roger Scarberry. Wow, headed on Route 62, where the animal was allegedly
chased at speeds exceeding 100 miles per hour. However, as indicated by
the keel Mothman Prophecies, which Scarberrys despite driving more than
100 kilometers per hour, chased by the creature and then have claimed
noticed a dead dog beside the road, and indeed makes a precise knowledge
of his situation that he said he had returned the next day and not see.
Explanation of how accurately they could make a mental note at a time
of such great distress, or where to find the dog dead are not included
in Keel’s book.
A plaque on the Mothman statue provides a version of the original legend: On a cold autumn night in November 1966, two young people went to the TNT area north of Point Pleasant, West Virginia when she realized
she was not alone. On the way to the exit, the creature was supposedly a
mountain around. He spread his wings and flew alongside the vehicle to
the city limits. We went to the Mason County Court warned Deputy Millard
Halstead, who later said: “I am to these kids of all known life. Do not
get into trouble, and was very scared that night. I took seriously.” He
followed Roger Scarberry car back to the former secret U.S. – Federal
bomb and missile factory, but found no trace of the strange creatures.
Based on the book of exotic animals, by Janet and Colin Bord, attacks on
the Poltergeist Scarberry came home later that night, when the creature
was seen several times.
The next night, 16 November, several people were armed comb the area around the TNT plant for signs of Mothman. Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Wamsley and Mrs. Marcella Bennett, with his daughter Teena in tow, were in a car
en route to visit his friends, Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Thomas, who lived in a
bungalow at the Igloo (dome of concrete storage structures erected in
the form of dynamite during World War II), near the TNT plant. The igloo
now were empty, some owned by other companies in the municipality’s
intention to use it for storage. Were on the way back to his car when a
figure behind their parked car. Ms. Bennett said that as he had gone to
bed, slowly rises from the earth, seemed large and gray with bright red
eyes. While Wamsley phoned the police, the animal went to the terrace
and looked out the window.
On 24 November, four people who allegedly saw the animal is flying over the TNT area.
On the morning of November 25, Thomas Ury, transiting the Route 62 was north of the TNT, claimed to have seen the creature standing in a field, and then spread their wings and flew to his car when led to the
Point Pleasant sheriff’s office.
On 26 November to Mrs Ruth Foster of Charleston, West Virginia, allegedly saw Mothman on the lawn in front, but the creature was gone when her brother-in-law went to investigate. In addition, the morning of
November 27, the creature allegedly chasing a young woman near Mason,
West Virginia, and was reported again in St. Albans the same night, two
children.
Mothman was a point back to the Report 11 January 1967, and several other times in the same year. Fewer sightings of the Mothman were after the fall of the silver bridge, reported that when 46 people died. The
Silver Bridge, so named for its aluminum paint, was attached a string
eyebar bridge, the city of Point Pleasant, West Virginia and Gallipolis,
Ohio on the Ohio River. The bridge was built in 1928, and was broken on
December 15, 1967. Search for the remains of the bridge said the
inability of a single eye-bar suspension for a string of small
manufacturing error. There are rumors that the Mothman appears before
future disasters, or disasters that cause the Mothman.
The word “Mothman” was an invention of an editor of a newspaper in Ohio, having published the first news of the “Big Bird” sightings.
A large collection of firsthand material about Mothman is back in 1975, John Keel’s book “The Mothman Prophecies, which exposes the keel chronology of Mothman and that claims relating to psychic phenomena in
the region, including UFO activity, the man was found in Black
encounters, Poltergeist activity, Bigfoot and black panther sightings,
animal mutilations and human knowledge of witnesses and December 15,
1967 Silver Bridge collapse on Ohio River.
The keel of the first book was the basis for a 2002 movie, The Mothman Prophecies, starring Richard Gere, Laura Linney, Debra Messing and Will Patton Director: Mark Pellington. A book accompanying the
tower’s session, was also published in 1975, is derived from material
edited from The Mothman Prophecies by the publisher.
In the period from May to June 2002 in the Skeptical Inquirer, journalist John C. Sherwood, a former member of UFO counterfeiters Gray Barker, an analysis of private correspondence between the keel and
Barker in the course of the investigation keel. In the article “Gray
Barker’s book of bunk,” Sherwood documented substantial differences
between the keel wrote at the time of his research and write the keel on
his first book about the Mothman reports, raising doubts about the
‘accuracy of the book.
Criptozoòlegs Loren Coleman, in connection with Sony / Screen Gems Studio and as stated in the documentary by David Grab, “In Search Of The Mothman” was one of two fiction films spokesman advertising (other than
keel although the keel was limited commitment to health concerns).
Andy Colvin, a photographer and documentary director who claims to have seen the Mothman has two books and a series of Mothman in reality the photographer says of the producer of Mothman, John Keel and almost
50 witnesses. Sister Colvin shows a photograph of him in 1973,
supposedly a Garuda in the background.
There are various theories about the Mothman phenomenon.
Supernatural Theories
John Keel argued that Mothman for parapsicològics events in the region, including UFO activity, Men in Black encounters, Poltergeist activity, Bigfoot and black panther
sightings, animal mutilations and human knowledge is linked to previous
witnesses, 15 December 1967 and the collapse of the Silver Bridge over
the River Ohio.
Birds wrongly identified
One of the first theory is that evil Mothman identified a Sandhill Crane, who was in the 1960s has been a problem in the surrounding regions. Cranes have described an average
wingspan of 5.3 meters (up to 7 feet), the average length of 39 inches
and the overall look, glide over long distances without a break and have
an unusual cry. Other theories suggest the possibility that the Mothman
is an owl, an albino owl, white owl or maybe a couple (based on
impressions of the artists). Skeptics suggest that the Mothman’s eyes
bright red eye actually be caused by the reflection of light from
flashlights or other light sources, witnesses have gone with them.

United States Consul Plumacher sends to Washington from Venezuela a very remarkable report, especially interesting to students of natural history.

HOW THB VAMPIRE ATTACKS HIS VICTIMS.

The fabled vampire bat is found in Venezuela. Ifc is classed among the carnivorous animals, and in some districts is very abundant. It is very fond of human blood, and attacks sleepers at night by making a small incision in the great toe. Much blood can be lost in one night, although the puncture is microscopic. Consul Plumacher says that while many may be sceptical respecting this fact, personal experience has convinced him of its truth. The popular impression of the vampire's habits is that it fastens itself upon the throat of the sleeping victim, and while fanning him with its wings, so that he may not awaken, sucks his life-blood away. According to Consul Plumacher's account the Venezuelan vampire only attacks a man's big toe, and while he may lose considerable blood the attack is not fatal nor especially serious. " OMELETTES AUK CEXJF9 DB CAIMAN." There are plenty of alligators in Venezuela, and Borne of them are 25ft long. They are about like the alligators of the United States, except that they are generally larger, and they often attack persons who venture into the water. OF THB SOBADOBA.

There are many serpents, both venomous and harmless, but the former predominate. The boa constrictor, called herearagavenado or deer swallower,is very common and grows to an enormous size. The anaconda is of the same species as the boa, but is a water snake. The flesh of the anaconca is very white and tender, and in many parts of the country is much esteemed as food. Consul Plumacher says that many foreigners who have eaten it inform him that anaconda meat is very palatable. Neither the boa nor the anaconda is venomous, but their constrictive powers render them terrible adversaries. The rattlesnake abounds in the savannas, and has been known to reach a length of Bft. The macaurel, viejital, tiger snake, and mapanare are the chief poisonous snakes. The last-named is found in great numbers among the trees along the river banks. Canoes in passing through narrow openings, where the branches overlap above, are sometimes surrounded by these serpents. Although very venomous, they rarely attack if not molested. The sobadora is a very peouliar snake, in some respects similar to the mythical hoop-snake of the United States. It is not poisonous, but when enraged will give chase, and upon reaching the object of its anger, whether man or beast, places its head upon the ground, and with its long, whip-like body, inflicts a severe flagellation. SOFT-SHELL CRABS, AND A POISONOUS APPLE.

Consul Plumacher tells a fairy-like tale about a poisonous apple upon which the soft-shell crabs of Venezuela feed. It is called the manzanillo, and the crabs eat it with impunity, although it is rank poison. The flesh of the crab becomes thoroughly impregnated with the poison, and is thus rendered a fatal diet. The manzanillo, or " little apple," is found along the coast. It is about an inch in diameter, and grows upon a tree similar in appearance to an apple tree. It is very pleasant to the eye and has a sweet, insipid taste. It is usually found where there is no fresh water, and may easily tempt a thirsty, inexperienced voyager. It is, however, a deadly poison, primarily

causing intense burning pains in the throat and stomach. Unless remedies are promptly applied death is inevitable. It is even dangerous to remain in the shade of one of those trees, and a person taking shelter under it during rain will suffer from painful blisters wherever a drop of water falling from the leaves touches his Derson.

THE DANGERS OF A MORNING DIP.

The gymnotus or torpedo eel abounds in the rivers and lagoons of the lowlands. It is much feared by travellers, for the reason, that it communicates an electric shock which is quite severe. It is not necessarily fatal except to a swimmer. The shock often paralyses him to such an extent as to render him hopeless and cause his death by diowning. The caribe is a most voracious little fish, seldom exceeding Gin in length, armed with a double row of needle-like teeth. It is found in many of the interior rivers, and is more dreaded than the alligator. A single scratch on the body of a swimmer exuding adrop of blood will instantly attract thousands of these fish, and their attack is so fierce and persistent that only a few minutes are necessary to disable the strongest man. SOME SPLENDID SPECIMENS OF SPIDERS.

There are venomous reptiles in abundance in Venezuela. Scorpions and centipedes are found in all sections. Some of the centipedes are 15in long. There are various classes of spiders, the tarantula being the largest and most hideous. Its body is about 3in in diameter, and its spread of claws is nearly a foot. The animal has a faculty of flattening itself on the ground until it can scarcely be distinguished, and thus it awaits its prey. When disturbed or attacked, ifc suddenly springs to an upright position, standing sin or 6in in height. It is then able to leap a distance of sft or Gft, and capture small birds with the agility of a cat. Its repugnant appearance is heightened by a. growth of hair on its body and legs, whence the native name of "hairy spider." The bite of one of these spiders is poisonous, often fatal. It is a common amusement in some sections of the interior to place, in a box half-filled with sand a tarantula and a centipede. A fierce combat ensues, in which, as a rule, the tarantula is victorious.

THE CHARMS OF THE CHASE.

There are many rodents in Venezuela, among which are squirrels, rabbits, hares, hedgehogs, and three animals called by the natives acurito, aguiti, and lappa. All are used for food. The acurito is exceedingly prolific, and it is estimated that a single pair will produce at least 500 descendants in the course of a year. The wild hogs known in the United States and Mexico as peccaries are found in this country in large bands, and the chase is dangerous. They are utterly without fear, and many a hunter has been obliged to seek 'shelter in a tree and remain until nightfall, for so long as day lasts the peccaries will not withdraw. This animal when young can be easily domesticated, and will follow his master or mistress like a dog. In some interior districts a woman who is obliged to travel alone and on foot is very often accompanied by a peccary for protection. She thus feels secure from assault or ill-treatment, the peccary being an even more zealous defender than is the dog in other countries.

THE ZOOLOGY OP THE SECTION ZULIA.

Then Consul Plumacher proceeds to tell wonderful tales about the animals of the Section Zulia. There are monkeys without limit in this region, the most common being the araguate. It is a large monkey about 4ft in height. Thfe araguatos are always found in troops under the command of a chief. They are very vociferous, and the forests at sundown and sunrise are filled with their noise. There appears to be a certain system in their chants, which commence always with a solo performance, and afterwards all join in the chorus, thus alternating for hours. Then there are other monkeys of queer habits, the mono nocturno being rather remarkable. It sleeps during the entire day, and spends the night seeking food. As long as daylight lasts it remains drowsy, and will not even resist capture. The common monkey of Buffon is found in great numbers, and does much damage to corn and other crops. It is very difficult for the farmer to defend himself, as the depredators always have pickets on the watch, who give the alarm in time to ensure the escape of the entire band. All of the Venezuelan monkeys are easily domesticated and become much attached to their masters. The Venezuelan tiger, or properly the jaguar, is the principal carniverous animal. It is hardly so large as the InsHan or African tiger, but is of amazing strength, and can easily drag off the largest ox. It is not usually a man-eater, like the Indian tiger. It rarely attacks a man except when instigated by extreme hunger, and is not much feared by those familiar with its habits. The panther, ounce, puma, wild cat, and an animal similar to the latter called the guanaipe, are the principal members of the cat tribe. All are very ferocious and bloodthirsty. The puma especially is detructive, and will continue to kill from mere wantonness after his appetite is satisfied. — Brooklyn Eagle.

Bigfoot saved from drowning in icy Siberian river

A Russian hunter claims he has saved something that can only be described as Bigfoot from a frozen river in central Siberia.

Russian news agency Itar-Tass quoted a source in the administration of the Tashtagol district of the Perm Region as saying that the incident took place in April this year near the village of Senzaskiye Kichi. The village is located 140 kilometers away from the nearest human settlement and the only connection with its residents is by helicopter. The latest flight to the village brought back a written report about the encounter with the so-called Bigfoot.

The letter read that professional hunter Afanasiy Kiskorov together with several other hunters was fishing when they heard a loud cracking of ice and a howl. Times on March 29 this mystery beast resembling a chupacabra, upper, is

A chupacabra ("goat-sucker"), is a legendary,
fearsome and possibly mythical beast said to inhabit parts of the
Americas and Puerto Rico, but not China nor anywhere in Asia.
Following the Global Times report, the Daily
Telegraph in England claimed to have interviewed a Chinese hunter in
Sichuan Province who said creature resembled a bear that had been
changed from a human, just as in a Sichuan local legend.
However, the mystery is solved. Kong Huazhen of the
Daying Forestry Department, Sichuan recently announced that the mystery
creature is an albino civet cat with a skin disease and "we have let it
go."

MONCLOVA, Coahuila – Residents of Colonia Chinameca were gripped by a psychosis on Saturday night after two children reported seeing an
alleged monster of humanoid characteristics and four legs on Calle

Londres in that busy sector.

The children described the entity as a little man with smooth, grey skin and four legs or lower extremities. It was seen in an empty lot of
the street in question in the Chinameca district.

Omar Andres Armendariz and Jose Rolando Gallegos, both 13 and local residents, were terrified and spread the word of the “being” they had
just seen among other locals.

The mother of one of the youngsters, seeing the state of nerves that her child was in, called the police, requesting that whoever caused her
son to fall into such a state of terror be apprehended.

After receiving the report, law enforcement agents reported to the scene and searched everywhere for the strange little man, but could not
establish it whereabouts. However, this is not the first time that

strange things have been reported in this district, according to

residents.

Several elements of the Municipal Police reached the site quickly and conversed with some locals, who concealed their personal information.

But some archaeologists and historians are taking the latest claim that Noah's ark has been found about as seriously as they have past ones—which is to say not very.

"I don't know of any expedition that ever went looking for the ark and didn't find it," said Paul Zimansky, an archaeologist specializing in the Middle East at Stony
Brook University in New York State.

Turkish and Chinese explorers from a group called Noah's Ark Ministries International made the latest discovery claim Monday in Hong Kong, where the group is based.

"It's not 100 percent that it is Noah's ark, but we think it is 99.9 percent that this is it," Yeung Wing-cheung, a filmmaker accompanying the explorers, told The Daily Mail.

Noah's Ark Location in Turkey a Secret

The team claims to have found in 2007 and 2008 seven large wooden compartments buried at 13,000 feet (4,000 meters) above sea level, near the peak of Mount Ararat. They returned to the site with a film crew in October 2009.

Many Christians believe the mountain in Turkey is the final resting place of Noah's ark, which the Bible says protected Noah, his family, and pairs of every animal species on Earth during a divine deluge that wiped out most of humanity.

"The structure is partitioned into different spaces," said Noah's Ark Ministries International team member Man-fai Yuen in a statement. "We believe that the wooden structure we entered is the same structure recorded in historical accounts. ... "

The team says radiocarbon-dated wood taken from the discovery site—whose location they're keeping secret for now—shows the purported ark is about 4,800 years old, which coincides roughly with the time of Noah's flood implied by the Bible.

"Noah's Ark" Wood "Way, Way, Way Too Young"

Skepticism of the new Noah's ark claim extends to at least one scholar who interprets the Bible literally.

Biologist Todd Wood is director of the Center for Origins Research at Bryan College in Tennessee, which pursues biology in a creationist framework.

As a creationist, Wood believes God created Earth and its various life-forms out of nothing roughly 6,000 years ago.

"If you accept a young chronology for the Earth ... then radiocarbon dating has to be reinterpreted," because the method often yields dates much older than 6,000 years, Wood said.

Radiocarbon dating estimates the ages of organic objects by measuring the radioisotope carbon 14, which is known to decay at a set rate over time. The method is generally thought to reach its limit with objects about 60,000 years old. Earth is generally thought to be about four and a half billion years old.

Across the board, radiocarbon dates need to be recalibrated, Wood believes, to reflect shorter time frames.

Given this perceived overestimation in radiocarbon daiting, the wood the Noah's Ark Ministries International team found should have a "traditional" radiocarbon date of several tens of thousands of years if the wood is truly 4,800 years old, Wood said.

"I'm really, really skeptical that this could possibly be Noah's Ark," he added. The wood date is "way, way, way too young."

Wood thinks Noah's ark will never be found, because "it would have been prime timber after the flood," he said.

"If you just got off the ark, and there's no trees, what are you going to build your house out of? You've got a huge boat made of wood, so let's use that," he said. "So I think it got torn apart and scavenged for building material basically."

"Noah's Ark" Found in Right Country, on Wrong Mountain?

Another reason scholars are skeptical of the latest Noah's ark discovery claim is that Genesis—the forst book of the Bible—never specifies which peak the vessel supposedly landed on in Turkey.

"The whole notion is odd, because the Bible tells you the ark landed somewhere in Urartu,"—an ancient kingdom in eastern Turkey—"but it's only later that people identified Mount Ararat with Urartu," said Jack Sasson, a professor of Jewish and biblical studies at Vanderbilt University in Tennessee.

Stony Brook's Zimansky agreed. "Nobody associated that mountain with the ark" until the tenth century B.C., he said, adding that there's no geologic evidence for a mass flood in Turkey around 4,000 years ago. (See "'Noah's Flood' Not Rooted in Reality, After All?")

The Noah's Ark Ministries International explorers are "playing in a very different ballpark than the rest of us," Zimansky said. "They're playing without any concern for" the archaeological, historical, and geological records.

Better Explanations for "Noah's Ark" Structure?

Even if the Noah's Ark Ministries International team did find a wooden structure or even a boat on Mount Ararat, there are other explanations for what the structure might be.

For example, it could be a shrine constructed by early Christians to commemorate the site where they believed Noah's Ark should be, Zimansky said.

Even in that speculative case, it wouldn't be 4,000 years old. "The Bible hadn't even been written yet," he said.

Bible scholar Sasson said he thinks biblical writers intended the story of Noah's ark to be allegorical, not a true recounting of historical events. By presenting a scenario in which humanity is punished for its wickedness, "they were trying to draw us to the notion of a God who asks us to be acceptable," Sasson said.

UN to Consider "Noah's Ark"?

On its Web site, Noah's Ark Ministries International says the Turkish government plans to apply to the United Nations to put the Noah's ark discovery site on the UNESCO World Heritage list, a designation given to places of special cultural or physical significance.

But the agency hasn't received any official requests from Turkey for "the inscription of 'Noah's ark'" into the list, UNESCO spokesperson Roni Amelan said in an email.

Such a move would take time, Amelan added. "This cannot be done overnight."

NACOGDOCHES, TX (KTRE) - A Nacogdoches man gazed into Sunday night's sky, and was transfixed by mysterious bright shapes. He says he saw a UFO. "It was just sitting up there, just bouncing up and down, bouncing
up and down, moving back and fourth," said Albert Davis.

He was driving home from work with his family when bright, flickering lights caught his eye. "We knew it wasn't from here on Earth because...we've seen jets flying around and I don't think [it
was] jets," said Davis. "We knew jets couldn't make the moves it was

making."

Davis says the UFO hovered above his apartment for two hours. Then, he spotted more. "And, one was over there and one was in the back out there - pretty good distance out in the back," he said. "It was just
following us."

Davis believes what he saw was a flying saucer. He says he has never seen anything like it light up the night sky before. "[It] changed colors, threw something out of it, made a circle, it just made a circle
and it shot back down toward the east way [and] disappeared," said

Davis.

Astronomer Norman Markworth studies the East Texas sky. He says there is a logical explanation for this sighting. "There's a well-known psychological phenomena that if you look at something bright against a
blank background it might appear to move on you," explained Markworth.

"So, I feel certain that what we have here is a sighting of Venus."

Despite what anyone thinks, Davis says he knows exactly what he saw and will never forget. "Now, I'll probably look into space every night wondering if it's going to return or what's going to happen next," he
said.

Davis says he is a little nervous after his UFO sighting and has had trouble sleeping.

Engineer spots disc-shaped UFO over Warwick, Rhode Island skies

A Warwick, RI, civil engineer reported seeing a disc-shaped UFO on April 24, 2010, at 3 p.m. that was observed from a local parking lot, according to testimony from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) database.
The witness describes the object as "a intensely bright, white, circular object in a northeasterly direction and approximately 70 degrees above the horizon."
"I thought it funny that it just hung in that position for many minutes," the witness stated, "but it was lazily moving extremely slowly generally in a figure-eight pattern, which I verified by lining the object up with the edge of my car door jamb. As far as I could tell, the object did not vary in brightness, color or shape during my total observation. It was brighter than a daytime observation of the planet Venus and it definitely exhibited a diameter (disclike). I did have the distinct impression that it was spherical but without the aide of optics I was unsure."
Warwick is a city in Kent County, Rhode Island, the second largest city in the state, population 85,808.
The following is the unedited and as yet uninvestigated report filed with MUFON. Please keep in mind that most UFO reports can be explained as something natural or manmade. If New England MUFON State Director Steve Firmani investigates and reports back on this case, I will release an update.
RI, April 24, 2010 - Bright White Circular Disc Observation in Warwick, RI on 4/24/10. MUFON Case # 22957.
My observations were made from the parking lot in front of TJ Maxx store in the Target Shopping Center on the west side of Bald Hill Road (Rte 2), in Warwick, RI on April 24, 2010 at 3 pm. Sky condition was 35% scattered thin cirrus clouds (wide bands similar in shape to jet contrails) in a transparent blue sky. Temperature was about 70 deg F.
I was sitting in my car looking in an easterly direction with sunroof open, due to the heating from the bright sun. I was waiting for my wife while she was shopping at the Maxx.
To pass the time while eating my apple snack I started to watch jet planes high overhead (approx 15,000) as they were making a beeline to and from Boston's Logan Airport. I watched several of the northbound jets and at one time I noticed what I first thought was a white jet at a higher altitude traveling southeasterly (diagonally) across the apparent path of a Boston bound jet.
I then noticed 3-4 of these small white winged objects and concluded they must be seagulls soaring high above Warwick, which is not uncommon for this city of 100,000 +/- on Narragansett Bay.
Anyway, I watched another jet continuing along the same "to Boston" trajectory and then noticed a intensely bright, white, circular object in a northeasterly direction and approximately 70 degrees above the horizon. I thought it funny that it just hung in that position for many minutes, but it was lazily moving extremely slowly generally in a figure-eight pattern, which I verified by lining the object up with the edge of my car door jamb. As far as I could tell, the object did not vary in brightness, color or shape during my total observation. It was brighter than a daytime observation of the planet Venus and it definitely exhibited a diameter (disclike). I did have the distinct impression that it was spherical but without the aide of optics I was unsure.
After several minutes of watching the object at the initial altitude, it started to drift slowly in a nearly straight path to the northeast --- my tall vertical light stanchion was my reference to determine this, for sure. I continued watching until the object met a cirrus cloud and then I lost it at about 40 degrees above the horizon. At last sight, the diameter of the object did appear to shrink a little bit, but the brightness did not. My sighting lasted apporximately 25 minutes and, unfortunately, ended about 10 minutes before my wife returned from shopping...I was hoping I could show this to her to get her impressions.
After I spotted the object I wondered what it could be. Venus? No, wrong position. Another plane with lights coming toward me? No, too slow and not a pinpooint light source and planes don't wobble in an almost stationary position. A helicopter? No, uniformly lit and probably too high. A weather balloon? Maybe, but strange behavior for a weather balloon. I also initially thought it might be a daylight supernova until I examined it more intently and noticed the slight wobbling motion.
I did not think of UFO at first but I came to that conclusion as my observation went on. It brought back a memory of the same kind of sighting I had when I was about 13 years old when one summer day I was playing in a park with the neighborhood kids, also in Warwick, RI. I have had several other sightings over the years but never reported them to anyone. My last sighting was a few years ago when I was in Florida on vacation.
I have been an amateur astronomer since a teenager and own a couple of telescopes. I am also a ham radio operator. I am a professional engineer (civil) licensed to practice in several states.

Loch Ness monster is real: former Scottish police chief

Newly published documents reveal that a Scottish police official in the 1930s believed 'beyond doubt' that the Loch Ness monster existed. Expert Loren Coleman says it reveals the government's longstanding policy to protect the mythic beast.

The revelation that a former Scottish police chief believed in the Loch Ness monster and was concerned for its survival underscores how Scottish authorities have sought to protect the iconic beast, says Loren Coleman, a leading experts on mythic animals.
“The Scottish government has long been interested in protecting Nessie,” says Loren Coleman, who is co-author of The Field Guide to Lake Monsters, Sea Serpents, and Other Mystery Denizens of the Deep. “This just reinforces this whole notion (that) the officials in Scotland take this creature very seriously.”
Newly publicized documents reveal that a former Scottish police chief believed that the existence of the Loch Ness monster was “beyond doubt” but its protection could not be ensured.
William Fraser, chief constable of Inverness-shire Constabulary in the 1930s, wrote a letter expressing fears that a London man might kill the beast with a large harpoon gun. "That there is some strange creature in Loch Ness seems now beyond doubt, but that the police have any power to protect it is very doubtful," Mr. Fraser wrote.
To be sure, most biologists believe Nessie to be a myth, and nothing more, pointing out that large animals typically leave large remains when they die. No "monster" carcass has ever been found.
But as recently as 1999, Scottish authorities took steps to ensure the safety of their tourist-attracting monster, Mr. Coleman told the Monitor in a telephone interview from Portland, Maine, where he runs the International Cryptozoology Museum.
In 1999, Coleman was set to go on a Nessie-search expedition in a homemade submarine with Dan Scott Taylor. Thirty years earlier, while diving deep in Loch Ness in a one-man submarine, Mr. Taylor had said he undoubtedly bumped into the monster. Now, he wanted to bring with him both a secondary observer – Coleman – and a harpoon so he could take a DNA sample of the beast.
When Scottish authorities caught wind of Taylor’s plan, they revoked his exploration permits and the submarine trip never materialized. Taylor died in 2005.
“There’s always been the sense that quietly…they were taking the reports more validly. There was a serious acknowledgment that the Loch Ness monster exists,” says Coleman.
While the submarine trip never happened, Coleman still presided over a two-week surface expedition in 1999. He interviewed 38 people who claimed to have seen the monster then or in the past, and of those sightings Coleman says eight appeared valid.
Sightings often describe the monster’s iconic neck sprouting from the lake, but Coleman says experts agree that those sightings are only of an otter’s tail or a water bird’s neck. In his opinion, the Loch Ness monster is something like a whale or a walrus.
But sightings have dropped of late. There was only one "credible" reported sighting of the creature in 2009, causing enthusiasts to fear the monster may be dead, reported The Telegraph.
American officials, too, have had their odd beliefs and close encounters with the third kind. The Vermont legislature voted in 1982 to protect the legendary beast “Champ” of Lake Champlain. And current Representative Dennis Kucinich and former presidents Jimmy Carter and Ronald Reagan have all seen UFOs.
Coleman says that new animal discoveries show that humans still have a lot to learn about the world. Just three weeks ago, scientists reported that they had discovered a new species of giant lizard in the Philippines. Coleman says that the finding underscored how strange animals – from Big Foot to Yeti to the Loch Ness monster – may still be lurking beneath our noses.
“There are animals out there that will surprise us in the future,” he says.

UFO over Westlock, Alberta

There is an interesting report out of Westlock, Alberta, from April 18, 2010. A man left a message on a UFO website about a large dark, triangular object that he saw moving slowly over his home. The object emitted a dull reddish glow and had three circular things on its underside. He thought it was only about 500 feet above his home at one point.

The report was on UFOs Northwest, an American site that is very good in its scope and approach, classifying cases by location and doing some preliminary evaluation. In this case, the witness left a message on the webmaster's voicemail, and the audio file is linked on the site as well. The eyewitness testimony gives an interesting perspective of what had been seen.

New York prof plans to teach UFO course

Mexico City residents rushed into the street today to observe the bright objects as they hovered over the city. TV stations showed the objects were in fact probably silvery helium filled balloons.

UFOs and other unexplained phenomena in space should be studied in university courses just like English and math.
That’s the position of an American anthropology professor who is putting together the curriculum for a credit course to cover the subject.
“My interest in UFOs stems from . . . my interest in anthropology and in different world views and how they affect people’s perceptions and behaviours,” said Prof. Philip Haseley of the Niagara County College, a state university in New York.
He argues that there is a large body of evidence around UFO sightings and other space news and that students and scientists should have the opportunity to study it, research it and document findings.
“There is an enormous amount of evidence to investigate,” said Haseley, who is also section director of the Western New York Mutual UFO Network.
“It needs to have exposure to a university setting to students and to faculty who see it being taught as a legitimate subject.
“To me, it is something that is a no-brainer. It ought to have been done a long time ago and the fact that it hasn’t been done strikes me as extraordinarily strange.”
There are classes at other universities in the U.S. already.
“It is something I would like to see a lot more of,” said Haseley.
University of B.C. astronomy and astrophysics Prof. Douglas Scott said UFOs are covered in lectures but the test for students is that extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence.
“There are lots of things people see in the sky, and people who study them in detail,” said Scott, adding that his department regularly gets calls from people reporting “weird things” in the sky.
“There is no evidence that there are aliens coming to visit us. But of course we should study these things — a good scientist should be open minded.
“Frankly, all astronomers would kill to find out that there are really aliens coming to Earth. It would be fantastic . . . There is no evidence that we have been visited by aliens even though most astronomers probably believe they are out there.”
Chris Rutkowski, research co-ordinator for Ufology Research based in Winnipeg, supports the study of UFOs as a legitimate university subject.
“I think what [Haseley] is saying is sound in the sense that it should be discussed more openly in an academic and scholarly setting,” said Rutkowski, author of The Canadian UFO Report: The Best cases Revealed.
“I think it is a matter of being brave enough to think about UFOs rationally in an academic setting.”

A TERRITORY family has told how they held their breath when a UFO hovered over their home.

It was around 8pm on Friday when Susan Clarke, of Howard Springs, heard her partner yell out to her "to come out quick".

"Myself and the lad were sober, and we saw a huge spherical object that was moving horizontally across the night sky very slowly," Ms Clarke told the Sunday Territorian.

"It was amazing and unnerving at the same time.

"It was glowing red, orange and gold - none of us had ever seen anything like it before."

Ms Clarke said she grabbed her camera, but didn't manage to capture the mysterious flying object in a photo.

"I was shaking just looking at it, it was very eerie and made my knees weak."

The Howard Springs resident said she watched the UFO for about three or four minutes, together with her partner and his 16-year-old son, before the object took off into the night.

"It veered off at a right angle, then in another direction, then just shot off at a great speed (and) disappeared.

"We rang friends and asked if they had seen anything and we were totally shaken up by the experience."

The UFO is far from being the first to be seen in the Territory.

Only three weeks ago, UFOs had been spotted stalking the site of the proposed NT nuclear waste dump at Muckaty Station.

In March, a Queensland businessman had an eerie encounter with "bright lights zipping around the trees" when he visited the NT's alien hot spot Wycliffe Well.

In June 2008 the community of Marlinja came to a standstill when UFOs descended on the town.

Last year in December, worldwide media outlets ran a story that enthralled UFO enthusiasts and others curious about the possibility of alien vistation to our planet and the existence of extraterrestrial life.

A huge pyramid UFO had been seen by many and filmed by at least one witness as it hovered above The Kremlin in Moscow. The video became a hit on YouTube and other sites. Hundreds of witnesses also reported seeing the UFO, however shortly after the film was released a campaign to discredit the sighting appeared to have swung into action.

Witnesses were visited by what seemed to be plain clothes police officers and asked to remain silent over the event. Any further footage was confiscated. Stories began circulating about buildings in the footage that no longer existed despite experts confirming this was not the case.

Now a brave witness has had the courage to post a second piece of footage (Video below) of the event: Filmed from an apartment in Moscows suburbs.

Sergei Ahmedayov attests that this footage was taken by him from his bedroom window as the craft hovered for hours on the very same day the Kremlin UFO was filmed. He also attests that all of his family saw the event too.

'I am sure this is an ET sapceship and I am not scared to show it' he defiantly commented.

It is now known that these pyramid shaped UFOs are the long haul spacecraft used by a civilization originating from Orion Constellation: These humanoid aliens have been interacting with humanity for thousands of years and arrived in this galaxy from Andromeda millions of years ago.

AN Australian UFO mystery that
captured the worlds imagination was solved today.

Paul Raduka captured footage of strange lights darting above Geelong, west of Melbourne, on Monday night. The Geelong Advertiser posted the video online, attracting tens of thousands of hits across
the globe.
But a reader, who did not wish to be named, called the Advertiser yesterday with an explanation.
"A lot of people thought they were UFOs,” the reader said. “When I was told about them at work on Tuesday I just laughed because I knew what they were." The woman said the UFOs
were actually remote control airplanes with LED lights.
"There were just a few guys having a bit of fun down near Balyang Sanctuary on Monday night."
The online video attracted more than 27,000 views in 24 hours and was featured on YouTube's main page as the most popular news and politics video.

It’s kind of like that old movie with Ray Milland and Rosie Grier, The Thing With Two Heads. Only in this case, rather than some kind of weird science experiment in life-saving and head grafting, you’ve got a weird animal mutation that has resulted in a two-headed bobtail skink, or Shingleback. The
two-heade little critter was found by by workers in a reptile park in
Coogee, New South Wales, and has been sent to Henley Brook animal park
in Perth. Two-headed animals generally don’t live very long, and this
lizard is expected to eventually fight itself to death.
This isn’t a case where a creature has one head that doesn’t really work. This skink has two heads and two sets of forearms, all of which work. However, weirdly, the larger of the two heads doesn’t like the
smaller of the two heads, so the creature is constantly trying to fight
itself! How strange is that?!

I went into the Bush to do some
research around 5.00pm 3rd of April 2010, I didn't expect it to go dark
so quickly. I was heading out when all hell broke loose. At least two
creatures were around me they made themselves very clear I wasn't
