UFOs reported in Alabama, Florida, and over Roswell ... Georgia



As folks in the Midwest today ponder the fireball they saw crossing the night sky, some in the Southeast have their own strange phenomena to contemplate.

More UFO sightings lately have been reported in Alabama, Georgia and Florida, according to the online UFO newsletter Filer’s Files, compiled by George Filer.

Here’s a report from Jacksonville, Ala., just north of Anniston: “I was driving home on Highway 204 at around 6:30 p.m., on March 31, when a bright flash of lightning revealed a metal object in the sky. There were no lights on the silver object. The lightning flash lasted 2 seconds. After it was dark again, I could not see the object, but I slowed down and the lightning flashed again, but this time the object was gone. I am positive about what I saw. It was cigar shaped, but it could have been a classic disk shape, with the middle being thicker than the ends. Because I only saw it briefly, it didn't appear to be moving, just a pretty big cigar hovering about quarter-mile away….”

On March 28 in Roswell, Ga., a witness saw a craft with a single blinking light move across the sky at 9:27 p.m. Knowing regular aircraft lights, “he was convinced that the craft was not a conventional aircraft.” For 30 seconds he watched as it moved "back and forth," dropped rapidly and then vanished, he said.

On April 1 in Fernandina Beach, Fla., a witness reported seeing “large hovering lights covering the ground” in his backyard.
